What is your personal opinion on the idea of canon?

Tamriel never belonged to Bethesda. It was the other way around.

As for canon, it's really all interactive fiction, and that should mean something to everyone. That said, I appreciate and understand the stamp of "official", but I think it will hurt more that it will help in the long run.

TES should be Open Source. It is for me.

Are there still no mods that make the faces somewhat palatable?

Here you go. But Oblivion hair is still awful.

Now only the mod reverting Cyrodill into Jungle, boring Imperials into Colovians and Nibenians and entire new main quest centered around Venice like Nibenium and we're all set.

If you could change anything in the series, what would it be and why?

I would change Cyrodiil's depiction in Oblivion. While I finally ended up enjoying the game several giga bytes of mods years after its release, neither the tech or the development of Cyrod was capable of pulling off what the Empire really deserved.

Yeah, the imperial capital ending up a cheap rehash of Gondor was a case of Bethesda taking me for a fool...

I remember when I first played Oblivion, after jerking to Morrowind for years. My pc didn't have pixel shaders so I couldn't run it for some time but then someone released Oldblivion for shitty video cards...

Game loads -

"By the nine! it's gon by tiem of my lief!"

I experienced face generator -

"... It's because I don't have them pixel shaders, right?"

Saw imperial capital -

"... RIGHT?!"

Then I experienced "plot" and "setting" of this new elder scrolls game and I decided to tell myself that it's just some fan-fiction that never actually happened and can be safely ignored.
