can't wait to have the comedy of south park that can barely hold-out/last in a half-hour episode painfully stretched past more than ten hours.

"we got alot of jobs openings" . Could be that Obsidian was successful at that pitch attempt with Disney or Bethesda? I just hope it isn't Epic Mickey the RPG this time.

Oh my goodness. If Ubi touches the thing we will get thousands of shit DLC, and sequels every years.

I can't wait.

Considering THQ was the original publisher I'd say they already planned at least a dozen outfit/dildo DLC.

Hopefully some version of that "What if Sauron won" pitch they've been trying to get done. Would be extremely :incline: if your choices in the game would only be various degrees of evil; butthurt from all the dildos who only play as jedi knights and paladins would be glorious.

I really, really hope this doesn't wind up in just as many layoffs later, as there are hires now. Obsidian wants to be the "culture" company in RPG-land. They do a decent job of it -- enough that their current / former stable are (effective!) stretch goal bonuses... but making producers and writers wander off into the wastes every year or two doesn't help.

Alternatively, they can more vigorously and selectively cycle the b-teams underneath them -- let the redshirts grind out the South Parks and Dungeon Sieges to keep the company afloat, while the "cool-kids club" make the boutique / niche stuff. (I'm not sure if that's LE or CG.) Point being, while giving virgin talent room to grow is important, I hope they do well enough to go easy on the "lay off prolific up-and-comer, contract as work-for-hire temp" with people who "belong" there like Ziets.

Even if the game was effectively almost done even when under THQ, it still takes months for Ubisoft to then go ahead and plan marketing, promotion, manufacturing, distribution, do internal compliance testing, etc.

Wouldn't be surprised if they release The Stick of Truth when the next seasons beguns airing to get most out of the publicity.

Sounds like a little lighthearted fun if you haven't killed the little rude kid inside you while "maturing" up over the years.

Somehow, I am really looking forward to this game, even though I find the idea of a South Park RPG hard to pull off, it seems like Obsidian is actually doing good with this IP.

It will probably be the only game where LGBT themes are part of the core gameplay.
