Its not that bad, all in all it was fairly enjoyable expansion pack, the overland travel and new party system system is quite good and the area design is quite nice. But its true the story may as well not be here , its ultra generic and without any surprises at all , well the beggining with volo is funny, but nothing special after. And honestly who diddnt guess that your employer was a yuan ti ?

Its not worse than wizard of the coast latest productions, their pen and paper modules for 4E are *yawn* boring, manichean, and ultra ultra generic, and some of the encounters mechanics utterly retarded(look at the e counter and skill trial wih the ghost knight in first module) . Yes its d&d but we are really back to the level of originality of the first red box modules.

I wish they released something like mysteries of westgate again with the overland improvments, but i see nothing annonced by devs and nothing on forums at all. Look how hard it was to get a release of mysteries of westgate, atari has zero business common sense, so very unlikely to see anything good released.
