As I actually got a chance to play Asura on one of Stress Events, I have to say that the little buggers are actually pretty fun. Not really for the looks of their ears and shit, but the overall feel their race has in the race-centric areas. Scientific council admiring a golem that they declare great despite it going out of control and butchering half of the scientific council? Why yes, sirs, it was extremely efficient indeed.

So yeah, it's a silly race that works better than gnomes and gobbos from WoW, I don't really care that it's not supersrs or super original, although yes, I could think up a few really original races. But hey, you know what, it works and like whatevs. That Final Fantasy MMO has some original faggy-looking avatars, and they sure are rolling in the dough.

I really didn't like any of the races until I explored some of the options in the customization. They are still kind of bland, but I'm partial to the sylvari wood elf people. I'm still going to main a human thief, but a sylvari elementalist will definitely be my secondary.

weren't all sylvari armors supposed to look like organic growth after the big race update?

Story-wise, each race has 3 different storylines...How different they are on the long run I don't know. But the Ash Legion Charr was p. different from Iron Legion as far as I got.

Some skills are unique for each race. Like Norn can learn some shapeshifting and animal spirit summoning skills, asura can call up a Golem thing, etc.

I'll probably be making a Sylvari Engineer as my main. I've saved both of those so they're completely new to me on launch.

I really wouldn't mind playing any of the classes to be honest. Not the worst situation to be in. Except for limited character slots, I suppose.
10 slots max, and you can buy them in exchange for in-game currency traded into "gems". Should be quite enough, and by the time you reach the cap (assuming you'd want to roll more chars) a new acc will probably be possible to buy with halfprice or less. Not too bad really.

Also, screenshots (normal ones) don't do the game justice. You can, however, take high-res screenshots. I've no fucking clue what the difference is but it sure took a long time.

I agree. The game certainly isn't the most technically beautiful game out there, but its very fluid in motion. The screenshot I showed above was the rather bland looking PvP holding area. The direction is much better in other areas like the sylvari starting area which is like having an acid trip while wading through overgrown forest.

Also thread lenght is similar of those of Diablo 3. I wonder why masses fall for such games, maybe its not devs, they just provide what masses want? You generic fantaZy setting with touch of anime and plot worthy of 12 year old storyteller.
Not sure if understand and/or serious.

Comparing Guild Wars 2 with Diablo III is like comparing a rimjob with a dry hump, very different animals.

you dont get to play now. it's headstart for people who pre-purchased. everyone else starts on the 28th.

servers are packed. login servers are borked. to be expected I suppose. but once in-game they have a nice overflow system.
