If a game developer, pr guy, or marketing need to shit on other games in order to explain theirs, then it isn't at all worth looking at regardless of whatever the game is.

I guess it's too hard for some people to say "Our game is nice, it has feature X," they need to say "Our game has feature X, unlike that other piece of shit game which tried and failed horribly to implement their feature X."

"Instead of a generic male or female character, we decided that we wanted a character that you can go through a story with," explains Taylor. "Seth is like our Gordon Freeman, only he'll be able to speak. He has a look and a history and there's something loveable about him."

Oh, that's why the Half-Life games failed so horribly. Gordon wasn't lovable.

I think somebody's upset that we don't like Dungeon Siege, which I'm sure must be his most favoritest game in liek evAR. Now we're going to be stuck watching his vendetta played out in the Codex with witty one liners aimed in some bizarre attempt at somehow insulting VD. VD will insult back with his own witty one liners and witty one liner man will throw more of his own up. I see an illiterate tag coming up on page 16. Here's hoping we get that far before our new-comer gives up with a final "I'm too good for you" disguised as an attack on VDs mother / background / game / pet dog.

Dont be afraid to dumbfuck this one, it will be perfectly justifed. How can anyone even defend Dungeon Siege? As I said before, Fallout 3 may look like fun despite everything, but this... not this.

He isn't defending Dungeon Siege, or at least he isn't giving any arguments why Dungeon Siege should be considered a good RPG or at least a good game.
If he were defending Dungeon Siege in any intelligent way that wouldn't be a reason to dumbfuck him.

There was a citizen once that called me a Hero of a town called Kvatch, then at the same time he told me to beware of a tiny mudcrab...

Horrible creatures.

Now THAT'S character development...
