I just saw a video on youtube (that pop-ed out of nowhere) showcasing the gameplay for this game and it really gives strong warcraft 1/2 vibes

food is not just building more huts, you need to delegate workers to actively gather food from farm. There is double counter in top right corner, so maybe you need huts to stretch the limit, plus keep cultivating land to not start losing units?

you need to garrison towers. So towers are just platform for archers. Interestingly, there are leaders lean against, allowing melee units to climb and fight on top. But i also see cannons.

unit count is big, more like (exact? is 200 pop limit) starcraft. Units dont appear to have skills to click.

Swordsman doesnt have shield. but has this comical oversized pauldrons. I later notice humans with shields - so this looks like an upgrade -nice!

Orc core melee has uruk-hai swords. And I shit you not... there are also orcs with round shields!!

... but now im affraid its some Settlers kind of gameplay, where you cut tree, make planks, make shields, and then your peasant pickup gear from storehouse :-/

Melee attacks are too fast compare to movement speed. This will limit the amount of disengage from melee combat, which i think is not good. (like in vanilla warcraft1).

============================

from steam discussion there is apparently close beta, because there is feedback from players.

A complete shit, bitching and demanding feedback that is detrimental to the game quality:

would you please add more races?!! only 2 races omg ADD more...

(oh you just a single dev dude? with full time job, who spend decade of free time making this game?)

ADD more buildings and more units and more maps and more story and better models, and better models (yes now its great time to redone all the assets from scratch) MORE MORE MORE

the towers is too small... i would love to scroll to the map up and down, just to see the dudes on top of 100mm high construction.

Nice find, but it does look dangerouesly close to Warcraft. Would be a shame if Blizzard closed this project.
