So all the TTG Sam & Max games are up for grabs on steam for only 17 bucks. I've been working on their Monkey Island games since last year since it's kind of mediocre at best, so I'm still a bit on the fence on this one, but it should still prove to be some entertainment for the summer.

Another promo that popped up and is good until the 31st -- $15 for the King Arthur RPG/RTS game that includes all of the DLC. I know the game has been around 80% off before but I'm not sure whether or not the total of everything was higher or lower than $15. Seems like a good deal if you're into RTS stuff.

I make it a habit of checking the product updates to see the extent of postrelease patching/game unscrewing. Especially important for strategy games.

Seems like only the main game got updated and not the expansions. Any word on the brokenness of those?

If you haven't yet, try the free episode of Sam & Max they have on Steam, if you like it, most definitely go for that package, it saves a good deal for all the episodes.

$33 for Shogun 2 on The Steams at the moment. Well worth it for Total War fans, one of the best Total Wars if not THE best.

Debating whether or not to pick up original Far Cry for $2.50... or just finish up King's Bounty the Legend that I've had for over a year.

Small promo going on for a new indie game they just released called Frozen Synapse. Squad based tactical turn based combat is how they are advertising it. Comes with competitive multiplayer too. This sounds almost too good to be true. I might get it. You actually get two copies of the game when you buy it, so you can send it to a friend. Not too shabby.

Actually just didn't remove Frozen Synapse from an inventory so I could check it out. Pretty interested, just wanna check it out first.

It's probably good for some kind of person, just seemed like it would be annoying as fuck to me. You have to micromanage every little move your dudes make. I'm far too popamole to go along with that.

Game is amazing, bros. Don't let the poop mole side get hold of you. It's lots of fun to fine tune your moves and see what ends up happening.

To be fair the version I didn't remove from an inventory was a pretty old beta or alpha I believe, so it's entirely possible they cleaned the interface up enough that it wouldn't bother me.
Addendum from Eurogamer review I read before posting: "Frozen Synapse has been in open-ish beta state for over a year at this point, and its once-finicky interface has improved hugely during that time."

Fuck, now I'm thinking maybe I should see if I can go halfsies on it.

Yeah I'm not wild about the mandatory double pack. It's something I'll pick up but with the Summer Sale in a month I don't need anything else to play. I'm still slogging through KB: Legend -- that is one long ass game.

Haha, I've only played the tutorial and the first mission of the campaign - this is looking like a must buy, it's a fucking blast!

The full retail releas is available to demo at TPB, that's the version I've got.

Edit: Yes, it has a full-blown SP campaign, which I don't believe the earlier versions had. Apparently, the interface is also much improved, though I only heard about Frozen Synapse today so I don't know how much - seems perfectly ok to me.

The gameplay actually reminds me a little of Incubation, with your guys more spread out at the start.

Not crazy about the graphical style, I would have prefered some more realistic pixel art. It's growing on me though.

Bought a copy of Frozen Synapse, have to keep up my reputation of being a true retard Steam bro.
Speaking of being true retard Steam bro, figured this out a few days ago via Steamcalc.

"Found 380 Games with a value of
$4858.71 USD"

Then I bothered to go through my order history on Steam and add up all my purchases (Actual total might be a bit lower since I've hosted some split game bundles, but I didn't bother checking all that) which came out to $1821 since I made my Steam account in 2005. So roughly $5 spent per game, $300 per year.
