I just finished reading the saga and have played the games, but didn't pay that much attention to details. Can i get some example of lore rapeage out of sheer interest?

Geralt as King Foltest bodyguard, what a sick and twisted mind came up with that?
Cliche resurrection aside
there were no other Twitcher "schools." There was only Kaer Morhen - *The* Witchers' Abode.

Because VATS isn't tied to character's skill and doesn't feature into character progression. In other words it's not VATS but a different aiming system tied to character's skills and knowledge of the world. Since when adding extra feature into character progression is a bad thing? Are aiming systems popamole now?
For a guy who isn't really familiar with the lore and only followed the 'game' lore, Witcher 1 & 2's plot seems 'acceptable' but the amnesia is the weakest selling point - honestly, cut it out - it doesn't work. But they made it the centerpoint of Geralt's story - and I felt it wasn't gonna work out in the end (dat comic flashbacks really sucked). Here's hoping they can prevent that in TW3.
As for Geralt being Foltest's bodyguard - I can buy that. Lore rape ? I dunno, but I believe when an individual was asked by the King to stay and work for him, you can't just say no. Especially right after the end of TW1 when Geralt saved Foltest from the assassination. Geralt isn't the type that just walks away from problems like that - for him to beat the first assassin in front of the king was a big deal.
I believe they handwaved the money away to balance the game economy. I'm not sure. I did get reports that even the best sword in the first game did not translate to anything awesome in the sequel. A pity really.
