It's supposed to be dark. It's not like those rooms have electricity so you can turn on the lights. That's some modernist popamole bullshit right there Bro. Turn in your RPGCodex card.
Anyone who uses flares all the time in case will run out. They burn out in no time. No, that's just not right. Dumb bitch should have taken a flashlight. You can use flares for a light source, like you are supposed to.
It's not like there is any light source, most of the time. Should be pitch black. Get out of here with that realism. Though, there is a balance, obviously. It's supposed to be dark. I hoped to beat it without looking at a guide. (Looked up one thing in Tomb Raider. Can't remember how many in Tomb Raider II, because that was seven and half years ago.) But the ATV was really annoying me. Pressed every button and still couldn't dismount. Assumed she can't. Tried a jump twenty times. Tried again to dismount. Looked at a video, saw the player dismount. Found a Steam post saying End key + Left/Right key. End key meaning Circle/B. Page 5 of the PlayStation manual says Dismount is simply Circle!TR3 is the jankiest and most obtuse TR game, so don't worry about situations like that, they simply happen in this game. It was made by a junior team with less experience.
You won't run out of flares if you use them when you need it, don't worry about it. Also don't be afraid to use ammo.Anyone who uses flares all the time in case will run out. They burn out in no time. No, that's just not right. Dumb bitch should have taken a flashlight. You can use flares for a light source, like you are supposed to.
I wonder if it would be easier to see on my OLED TV than on my IPS monitor. The distance is longer than at my old apartment, so would have to get another HDMI cable. You might be blind or just unobservant. Perhaps it is something with the "remaster" graphics rendering idk, but your screenshots show no issue upon a glance. There are times where seeing a switch or interact point is obtuse, but both your examples aren't those times. You're going to have difficult moments to come. Water switches in TR3 can be particularly obscure because of a wavy underwater lighting effect they used.
She don't look much like one of them. Maybe she's an eco terrorist or somethin'."
"And they wear hotpants, huh?
She's not wearing hot pants, she's wearing pants in this level.
This is how bad I am. Shouldn't take anyone this long to get inside the compound in Nevada.
Can't figure out what you're supposed to do after dropping into the hole beneath the satellite dish, swimming through that passageway and then crawling into the short bending corridor with the one soldier. No switches in this corridor. Just finding the passageway to this corridor and getting her in there was annoying as fuck with the water pushing her. Drowned several times. Was I supposed to have found a gun already? Want this level to be over. Too long. She's the tomb raider. Might cheat myself with a guide. Haven't so far, and I don't count looking up the controls for getting off the vehicle that weren't correctly transferred from PlayStation. This is how bad I am. Shouldn't take anyone this long to get inside the compound in Nevada.
That's not too bad. I think my recent stat here was around an hour, maybe a little less. Nevada does have some tricky bits and hardcore backtracking. Good level. High Security Compound however is not a great level, though as usual for all its faults again is better than most modern shit. The level after it is somewhat better.
I am invested in seeing how far you get, because I always end up quitting TR3 at some point. So much charm and yet some spectacular stumbles. There's so many better games to play.
When I was a kid I usually stopped out of my TR3 runs around the London underwater maze level. Anti-fun. I liked the other levels though, including the weird Nevada ones.
