Looks like the first Codex GOTY was for 2014 and the first Top PC RPGs vote in 2013. Or were there earlier votes?

True GOTY for 2019 was the Codex Disco Elysium thread.
No matter your opinion on DE, no one could deny that thread wasn't peak codex.
It is not only about DE. I was commenting more on many games on lower places. It is not even surprising that DE - not a CRPG according to some - won. Basically when I say that 2019 GOTY is terrible - the reason wasn't, surprisingly, only the Codex but also quality of games overall. I just forgot how bad it was.

I think it's time to have a vote on 2017-2022, like there was a vote on the age of incline. It's a sufficiently long period, and it will be an interesting ranking with lots of controversy. Instead of the usual 2-3 suspects, it will be between these and maybe a few others:
Much more intriguing than usual.
You forgot very prestigious CRPG titles like
Yakuza: Like a Dragon (2nd 2020) or
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night (2nd 2019)

RPG Codex is now for people who want to post on Reddit, but can't because they don't allow racial slurs.
For people who want to play games of all genres too. Because this is RPGcodex they vote for games of all kinds as if they were crpgs.

I meant people voting for western games that aren't CRPGs. I don't mean the "almost crpg" or games with CRPG status being contested but ones that belong to another genre. Which means not Disco Elysium, but as example, Xenonauts. A decent game but is just another, conservative, take on X-Com, a tactical game. If this is a CRPG then most X-Com clones are. And that was just first example of many. There are games of all genres there: tactics, strategy, adventure, metroidvanias, etc... They rarely are in the top 5 - thank Nurgle - but there are many in top 20s. I repeat, i mean games from the type: "It has stats, you "play the role" of someone/something - it must be a rpg!". Not the ones: "It lacks some CRPG elements but has most other, what do we do with it?".
