Can't believe it's taken 19 years to get a sequel to one of the most beloved game of all time.

Codex Year of the Donut Serpent in the Staglands Dead State Divinity: Original Sin Project: Eternity Torment: Tides of Numenera Wasteland 2 Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 A Beautifully Desolate Campaign Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Pathfinder: Kingmaker Pathfinder: Wrath I'm very into cock and ball torture I helped put crap in Monomyth
It seems that jdinatale's schtick is to take whatever release date he sees and go "Translation: Summer next year".

The game began development a year after Wasteland 2 did. Its projected release date is now...more than a year after Wasteland 2 will be released. There's no reason to believe it will be delayed, and if it will, not for that long.

I am in no hurry to play this game, I hope everything about it turns out good to compensate the fact it is based on Numenera

Well, the system seems to only be loosely based on Numenera.
And as a setting it's pretty good even though it's no Planescape.

I did not actually play it, though, (haven't played Planescape either :negative:) but the setting is easier to judge from just reading.

Have they said anything about balance of funds between W2 earnings and Torment?
With this:
One year following TTON’s Kickstarter, more than 80% of the development budget remained, so we have a lot of firepower for our production, beta, and finalization phases.
I assume that the W2 revenue could potentially be added on top of that 80% once Wasteland is wrapped up.

Stonekeep. Someone had to say it. I'm fine with the delay. Not a big deal for us. We've already paid. It's not like we're a publisher who's worried about getting hit up for more money. Worst case is we end up with a shorter game with a better setting and story. I can live with that.

.

A few years ago I'd have said that there will never be a sequel/spiritual successor if asked so it's a good situation right now all things considered.
