Pfft, they're not missed stretch goals, they're conscious decisions for a better game.
At this point they're pretty much doing you favors, it's your fault if it doesn't turn out well since you asked them to depart from their vision.

They've reworked the crises twice now.
The crises, look to me like a concept, that only sounds good on paper. Perhaps the traditional approach is simply still the best: fight if you fight, act if you act, and talk if you talk. Even in PnP i have never changed this simple formula. It doesn't meant that the crisis is a failed concept, but it could be that it needs quite the tweaking till it is on its peak.

I'd thought it was gonna look like a transforming robot

That would have required both work and imagination. Why would you expect something like that?

So the PC is Out of mana.

Fine, I will wait for some time to replenish its mana bar.

Imho, the only way for Inxile to recover the investment, is patching a lot through 1 or 2 years, adding the missing content, changing a bit the combat, maybe a dlc and then releasing a "complete" edition.

That might get a few more sales, but most people won't give a shit even if they fixed all the problems due to initial bad reception overwhelming any new opinions. T:ToN is dead in the water.

If the base product is shit, no amount of patches is gonna make it work... But a lot of games are released as a buggy, unplayable mess and end up being good games in the end... TToN is a type of game that can keep selling for years if it's a good game and they patch it up good. But it also may be beyond repair.

Didn't they plan to expand Sagus Cliffs like it was supposed to be?

Actually I'm surprised they didn't call this the DC. But maybe they're not as scummy as to call a really not that big patch a DC and this close to the original release.

For consoles, they'd have to release another box. And that will never, ever happen.

Like how? With balance updates?

Yeah, particularly
Reduced number of Peerless drones during Anechoic Lazaret crisis.
Reduced total number of combatants in the Bloom Heart, reduced knockdown effects, and streamlined introduction of spawned enemies.
Reduced total number of enemies in Miel Avest, and made Sorrow's aura do noticeable damage but not insta-kill.
Reduced total number of enemies in the Memovira’s Fortress crisis, and added non-insta-kill aura to Sorrow.

Any words on reduced shitty animations created by shitty animator obsessed with shitty root animation? Watching those knockdown/get up animations EVERY FUCKING TURN in a combat really showed the kind of veteran game designers that developed this game.

You know those Wild Cards mosaic novels that GRRMartin edits? It just occurred to me that Torment is a gaming equivalent of what would happen if 10 people who all think they are GRRMartins somehow managed to complete a mosaic novel -- without an editor.

Sounds like they made it easier, is that right? Seems kinda unnecessary when the game at launch is one of the easiest RPGs known to man.

Before, it was "easy and tediously long." They reduced the tediousness, which is still an improvement.
