Music seems to be messed up. I always get that damn Rule Britannia tune repeating again and again, even when I'm way outside of Britishs Castle. Otherwise mighty impressive work from what I've seen so far!

Why is Tseramo sitting inside the walls of level 3 of the dungeon under Lord B.'s castle? He talks about the Fellowship (which obviously isn't a thing in UVI) and thinks he's in the forests hunting...

I think I'll abstain from continue playing the game in its current beta 1.0 state. Some more strange stuff happened. That happens if you use the "help" spell. Then you'll end up in this godforsaken place:

I'm really shocked at the lack of feedback on this one, this is a huge project that could be the best thing ever, yet no one seems to be talking about it and bugs are usually not the thing that stops RPGCodex.

How is it right now ?

It's great, alas there are still quite some bugs. Most of them cosmetic though... TRY IT!

Sorry to say, but wow, that game still is buggy af. Plus the intro is well meant and I understand it's somewhat cool to use the game engine for it, but on the other hand I find it really annoying. Why has it to be so darn dark? It's almost impossible to make anything out. In addition there is absolutely no music and/or special sound effects to show the menace of the situation. Feels very clunky and awkward and undynamic. And it's both unskippable and you have to click away all the text to bringt it forward. As soon as I landed in Lord B's throne room and the combat ends, I'm unable to move and seem to be stuck somewhere in the walls. After a restart (and again forcing myself through the intro) I can move. Let's see.

It would be helpful if you can post any bugs like this that you experience, I would like to know how stable and playable this remake is

The game now starts with the original gypsy intro – each virtue question will give you the correct attributes as in the original that will affect your starting stats. Combat and Magic will be determined based on your Dex and Int stats, using the ‘rubber band’ formula used for trainers. The intro beyond that has some tweaks to make it look nicer. You can now train magic points with Thariand of Moonglow, in the lycaeum. Some small graphical tweaks such as a younger looking Iolo paper-doll. Dr Yazman aka Ideal Dragon has been awesome enough to make a new sprite for Leodon in Buccaneers Den and will be providing some stuff for the new Ultima 2 mod we are working on. You can check out his twitch stream here: https://www.twitch.tv/dryazman, he often livestreams his graphic creations and it is pretty interesting!

Fixed a ton of bugs in this version – no more duplicate Humility runes, Nicodemus now sells the Invisibility All spell. Dale in Minoc’s gem selling thread is fixed, and you should be able to sell back items to blacksmiths who also sell those items. Bees now have the proper equipment record (at some point a glitch caused the quality to change to 8). You should be able to sell all items back to blacksmiths that also sell those items themselves. Some tweaks to the Michael / Quenton quest to prevent certain hangups. Note – the raft isn’t meant for ocean travel and will break apart if you venture out too far! It will also only hold a certain amount of people. Don’t park a boat on the docks or anything that will disrupt the cutscene or it will delete / fail to trigger.

Also in this version I have included the usecode source, cleaned up as good as I can get it. If you are planning on making translations for other languages, let me know so I can get it included into future versions, or if you need help with anything! A side note – my Facebook page was deleted, and could not get an appeal. Not sure what happened there, so the U6 Facebook page will probably cease to exist soon. I plan on making a discord for U6 and then the U2 mod which we are currently working on, so people can keep track of the progress and report issues / bugs / suggestions for U6. I will let everyone know when I have those up and there will probably be a website for the Ultima 2 project as well.
