Trying it on Exult right now. Took me a while to figure out how to use the digital music files but got it in the end.

I never really had a problem with combat. I aways felt like an spectator watching a fight. You would press the C key on the keyboard, and your characters would automaticaly fight the enemies. If you were superior, you would win.

And if I remember correctly, you could pause the game and exchange items btween NPCs while in combat.

What I feel about the combat it's because it looks like as if the game play the fight without influence of the player.

I agree it isn't a gamebreaker but i just can't stand it. I had the same problem with Arcanum (because of bugs and low difficulty not lack of control) but i forced myself to play and enjoyed the game. Maybe one day i'll try U7 again.
