Village Plan (Final - Enhanced Edition; 2009-12-28)

Nova_Codeksia_Village_Plan_2009_12_28_small.jpg

General Notes (previous thread):
  • Enhanced Edition: Fiddled with a few plots, changed the street names.
  • Updated: Be aware that some plots, roads and community areas have been relocated from previous plans. Only Kazgar has been affected (road goes through his farm now :P ).
  • Blue Lines: These indicate a plot. Whomever owns that plot may do whatever the fuck they like in that. Note some plots have been changed due to altered road positions. We now have less but larger plots.
  • Maroon Lines: Brick walls. We're only building the exterior wall for now. The other possible 6 layers will be considered once the exterior wall is completed.
  • Grey Lines: Roads. Note that FFFFUUU- Court has become Avenue Le Multiheaded Dick and now extends through to a gate.
  • Green Lines: Community Areas. Everyone will have free access.

Area Notes:
  • Central Plaza: Village Idol (currently in the wrong spot; will work on that), main storage and crossroads.
  • Logs & Rocks: Meh. Figure we needed a place to dump these out of the way.
  • Bakery: 18 Ovens; 3 Mansions. Food storage.
  • Grasslands: Moo Moo Cows; Sheep.
  • Wheat Fields: Community Wheat Fields. All may harvest.
  • Hemp Fields: Community Hemp Fields. All may harvest.
  • Nursery: Special area. Basically a large plot for Havoc. Wall locations yet to be defined. It's not yet decided whether Havoc will simply own all of it or will only have his plot in a part of it. We'll sort that out later.
  • Tannery: Special area. A large area within which Jaskier will locate his personal plot. Jaskier is currently building the walls. Not all of the Tannery will be Jaskier's plot. This is to allow for community access to drying racks and tanning tubs.
  • Expansion: If - by some miracle - we manage to fill this area up, there's plenty of land out North, on Tannery island and out East of Havoc's that we can consider expanding into.
I'll make some other threads with specific plans for Central Plaza and Bakery.

Land Plots

  • Choosing a Plot: The blue lines indicate plots. If you want a plot, find one that's available and tell me you want it. :) First in, best dressed.
  • Usage: Whatever you choose to do within your plot is up to you. Mansions, Huts, Silk, Farms, Trees, giant paved swastikas, nothing, whatever.
  • Hearthfire: It is likely your hearthfire will be within your plot. Though for transportation purposes may end up elsewhere. Certainly, if you lack any place to put it, please put your hearth within your plot so we're not walking over it somewhere.
  • Personal Claim: You are expected to claim your plot with a personal claim. Whether you allow others in or not is to your discretion. It is requested you at least allow myself in. No-one should really be walking into anyone elses personal plot unless requested to do so by the property owner.
  • Keys: If you wall it in (be that pallisade or bricks, your choice) I will request a copy of any keys. This is in the event you decide to no longer play (and notify us) or you lose your own keys. All keys will be stored on a GateKeeper alt of mine and logged out, so that they are secure.
  • Alterations by Request: If requested, we may combine adjacent plots if both are vacant and you want a bigger land area (EG: #2 and #3). Like-wise, we may split some plots if they remain vacant and people only want a smaller personal area to build a house. It really depends on what you want and how many people we end up with in town.

Currently Allocated Plots
  1. Barry Fletcher Norwin (DarkUnderlord)
  2. BulMaster
  3. (Removed: Land combined with #2)
  4. Temple of the Multiheaded Dick
  5. (Removed: Land combined with #6 & #7)
  6. Zpang (SuicideBunny)
  7. kazgar (kazgar)
  8. Sarien (oldschool)
  9. zubadab (puur prutswerk)
  10. TripJack (Jak)
  11. Zdzisiu (Zdzisiu)
  12. Oskar (OldSkoolKamikaze)
  13. Cynfyn (poocolator)
  14. Muty (Muty)
    Tannery. Jaskier (Konjad)
    Nursery. Sir Havoc (Havoc)

The new #5 is where the old #6 is. I combined 2 plots (#4 and #5 on the old plan); so the number was lowered.

But if there's something about the number 6; sure, no prob. :)

Yeah, was uploading it while you posted. Tweaked the post a bit too.

#2 and #3 have merged; #6 has been split, giving half to #5 and half to #7.

#4 is no longer available and has become a community plot for the Arena; Temple of the Multiheaded Dick and Vault (for the precious shiney). 'Enhanced Edition' plan will come out shortly.

For anyone who complains about available space:
  1. Nova Codeksia is about 1 and 1/2 to 2 times the size of Germany's main walled section. Wayneville fits inside our town with room to spare.

  2. Our plots are 1 and 1/2 times the size of the Germans.

  3. All plots are about the size of Havoc's Farm.

I will take #11 I guess. If no one objects that is.

Do the little wood fences off Butthurt Blvd. mark the boundary between 11 and 12?

Cool, no problem.

Yep. The actual fence itself sits right on your boundary, in case you want to nix it and build a brick wall on top of it instead (keeping in mind all wrought and steel will go towards city wall for now).

wall can't be extended west from this point. it seems that the cliff is the problem.

Not quite. That wall is supposed to go down 2 more tiles to follow that paving and meet at the cliff down there. That will block all through traffic around the exterior wall.

That corner is a bit fucked up though (otherwise the next section you move into meant extra cornerposts and shit, rather than just going straight). What you have built is essentially the second layer of wall for that section, which doubles as the exterior wall of the next section.

Keep going essentially but to get that corner "right", extend from that bottom cornerpost and head into the cliff following the paving.

That way you have the minimum 6 layers of wall to break through regardless of which side you come in and it avoided all sorts of weird kinks and shit in the next bit.

DU you dick you need to back your claim the fuck off.

No but seriously. I can't seem to expand my claim further east up to the fence line because your claim (which extends to cover the road to the south) is too close. You've made me very sad.

Yeah at this stage my claim is to protect as much as the village as I can. As kazgar said, I'll back off and we'll re-organise when the idol has been moved (which I hope happens by the end of this week).

I see what you guys mean about the wall... It can't be extended along that line. I'll have to re-plan that bit.

Wall issue is easily resolved. We'll just skip the bit that's right next to the cliff and re-start it along that tiled path at the end of the cliff.

That will still prevent people from walking through there. Runestone placed to mark cornerpost and gate location.

I love what you've done with the place. How is the construction progressing? Building a 6 layer wall is a pretty epic enterprise.

Also, isn't it a bad karma that parcel #13 is on the corner of the Butthurt Boulevard and the FFFUUUUU Street?
