cool, where did you find the code from

On that note - there is a player referral system that has good benefits for both the new player and the referrer but it needs to be used during account creation.

*shit was that above code a first come first serve? if so I'll make it up to the needy in some way (mods or something)

Well, thanks. I tested it thinking it was something being handed out to all and it struck me that it might be a one time use. I'll make good use of it for certain it's just it would have been better for one of the newer guys.

Wait, people on the Codex play this shit game? Bunch of Gat-dang noobs in this thread, from the looks of it. I stopped playing Warfarm in November of last year at MR20, and started playing again yesterday, only to find they'd ruined even more things I once loved.

Mag is truly RIP; Volt has to shit out a coil now for team speed (though that means you can forego range mods); they nerfed stealth kills significantly, or so I'm told, with some retarded 5-second spawn caution rule and other shit; also, someone seems to have put a 13-year-old androgynous boy prostitute in the back of my spaceship. Today, they nerfed parkour for that fucking ball game.

I hope you haven't been taught to play Draco the wrong way, i.e. whatever the current garbage meta for lazy, crappy players happens to be. I don't know what it is, but whatever it is, it's unneeded. I used to duo Draco runs with one other guy from my old clan and we gave up trying to recruit people from the Recruitment tab, because they just couldn't understand why anyone would play any other way. We'd set it public and if people stayed, then they stayed... or they could leave, that was fine too. When we four-manned it with the clan, we all brought whatever the fuck we wanted and it was still a piece of cake.

Granted, it helps to have a super-strong primary and personally I prefer playing Mirage with Tonkor or Kulstar, clearing out half the enemies on the map before they even get outside their spawn doors.

My IGN is Kastorius, feel free to add me.

My issue isn't a lack of available xp per se, it's a lack of xp I can farm with weapons as shitty as these are. Killing enemies with a max rank gun doesn't seem to give any spillover to other weapons, so my options are basically objective xp or clicking some douche 20 times to get 300 xp. I did just do a spy alert that was giving out large chunks though, maybe I'll keep an eye out for those. They seem to scale with area level much much better than the enemy xp values do.

Unless you meant I should go join a pub and just sit around like a jackass watching people farm shit for me.

take ember, gather some energy, press 4, sit and enjoy the xp shower.

The best affinity farming is probably running Spy on Cyath with three people who know what they're doing (Cyath because it's Infested, and Infested don't set off alarms), but good luck finding two other people who want to do it and are also competent.

The very best way used to be certain team stealth kill setups, especially one semi-exploit on Uranus sab I discovered with a friend while trying to find a quicker way to level Archwing crap. We found a spot where you could have three people in the water, and one stealth killing this huge group of enemies that would keep spawning in a big clump in the same spot eternally. Massive XP, way better than Draco, and not limited to Archwing either. They stealth-nerfed that eventually by making all of those enemies die as soon as they spawned (wat). Now, with the new stealth kill nerfs, I'm not sure how viable shared stealth kill XP is in general. Two people sharing stealth XP with each other on high-rank maps used to be very efficient, though.

Sechura can be decent if you don't feel like doing Draco or Spy missions. Problem with that for me is I usually end up doing 70%+ of the damage in pugs, so I don't get as much shared XP as I'd like. Also I have 20m credits, and don't need any more.

The real problem (not really a problem per se, shit's gonna level up one way or another) isn't that those people don't exist, it's that my Warframe friends who can do Spy missions in their sleep don't have much incentive to do Spy missions since they don't need the affinity or mods.

Funny thing, though. When I logged in yesterday, I told my MR22 friend who "mentored" me when I was brand-new that I was going to do Spy missions to get Inara parts. He said not to bother and just to buy Inara, because the helmet is impossible to get (and this guy is SUPER-frugal, he very rarely ever spends plat on stuff you can farm). I told him fine, but come do three Spy missions with me and if we don't get the helmet, then I'll buy Inara.

First mission, we got the helmet.

I actually like doing them anyways, aside from one grineer one so far that pissed me off because AFAICT it had only one way to the console, through a door I needed to hack which was guarded by a patrol bot AND a fleshbag.
By the sound of it, that's the "conveyor belt" room. There's two alternative ways into the room that I know of:

The first and more obvious one is to go up the conveyor belt that you see a small hatch onto at the right side of the room you first enter, then once at the top make your way to the middle one of the three conveyor belts in the main room. The middle conveyor belt goes over the data room, and you can drop off it right on top of the compuutar. You can either go through the first doorway on it you see, or circle around the back. The question here is that the conveyor belt will have up to three laser tripwire barriers (technically it's always three, but sometimes one of them can have no lasers at all) with a random pattern of lasers. One laser barrier in the front, two barriers in the back. It's important to note that IF you trigger the alarm, the data room's ceiling will seal, making entry via the conveyor belt impossible.

The second is to go on the conveyor belt up as usual, but instead of going up after the first magnetic barrier you hop up the wall. See, if you look back at the way you came from the top of the conveyor belt, you'll see that there's a platform with two lockers there. On that same platform, there's a small ventilation shaft. This ventilation shaft will have horizontal laser tripwires in its middle, so you need to crouch and stay in the center of it to make it through. Eventually, you will come to an opening down in the shaft. This opening drops you to the section of the middle conveyor belt that lets you drop down to the data room, bypassing the laser tripwire barriers.

Yes, DE are becoming much more obnoxious in their efforts to "encourage" players to buy frames with platinum. At the same time, they refuse to make simple changes that everyone would really appreciate and that would encourage people to spend platinum, such as reworking Vacuum and Carrier, or allowing the stat boosts from old arcane helmets to be distilled and applied to any helmet.

Since they refuse to rework Vacuum and Carrier, the vast majority of players only use Carrier. That means less platinum spent on the other eleven companions and their vanity items, as well as fewer forma and cores spent upgrading the companions and companion mods.

Refusing to allow owners of old arcane helmets to apply those stats to vanity helmets (or vice versa) means less platinum and $ spent on Market and TennoGen helmets, and there seem to be quite a lot of players who have them. Off the top of my head (pun intended), I personally have Vanguard, Aura, Pendragon, Storm, and Essence arcane helmets.

Well, that's DE for you. They don't know how their own game actually works, and seem to be in denial that Warframe is essentially a horde shoot-em-up. Kubrows in particular are an excellent example of this, because I can blow up 30 enemies (or more) in the time it takes a kubrow to laboriously tackle and kill one enemy.

The Raid\Trial rewards have Arcane Enhancements, although they're usually duration limited.

Yup, other than maybe Helios for scanning, the other companions are borderline useless.

To add, above the back locked door with the guard is the where explosive barrels first get spit out to go down the conveyor belt. If you blow them up while in front of a locked hatch, it will open a path into the data room. That's the 'oh shit i tripped the alarm' emergency entrance way I take. Funnily enough blowing up those barrels doesn't raise the attention of the guards if the alarm hasn't been sounded in the times I tested to just to see if it would.

I hope you haven't been taught to play Draco the wrong way, i.e. whatever the current garbage meta for lazy, crappy players happens to be..
That probably is the way I do it. I've seen people insist on allowing the enemy a certain leeway to maximize the enemy spawn rate but I prefer to just take all the time it would take to do that and just get to round 4.... do it again, more round 4's and the T4 keys that come with it.

Shame about that Archwing XP thing, they are such a pain in the ass to level, even with boosts.

If you want T4 keys, Heiracon (Pluto Dark Sector Excavation) is better.

Technically the fastest way to do Draco is to spam Mag's 4 with a certain mod setup, but they're nuking the star chart in two weeks anyway, so there's hardly any point worrying about it.

I predict molten salt when Star Chart 3.0 hits!

is there any preliminary info available?

Well, this is new to me:

maxresdefault.jpg

From what I understand, the mission types, enemy levels, and other variables on Star Chart 3.0 nodes, which in Star Chart 2.0 are permanently fixed as we all know, will change and rotate on some weekly schedule.

Since this is DE, one can only assume the primary purpose is to nerf efficient farming rather than to make the game more enjoyable. Having said that, that's a pretty neat UI compared to what we have now.

i mean, i knew it was going to be changed already, i was asking if it's been explained how in details.
and that looks like the old map to me o_O

"Incompetence"... more like plausible deniability. DE's been going on for a year now about the evils of mandatory +damage mods, meanwhile they continue to release primed damage mods.

Today was a good day. Did the level 100-200 Infested Survival Orokin Reactor alert with a PUG, went as Banshee with a corrosive/heat Ignis; there was a slow Nova there too, and a couple of scroobs. Finished without any issues.

Also, saw this around the time Baro dropped:

Today was a good day. Got 3 of the damned things, even managed the infested survival on my own after a few tries. Sonicor is starting to be useful (desperately needs more modding points/polarity) and I got a couple more of my shit tier weapons mastered and sold.

Since you're newer to the game and might not know this, allow me to give you the gift of salt.

Since early 2015 or so, veteran players had been complaining that there was too much forma in the higher-tier Void rotation rewards, because a lot of them had tons of forma BPs saved up. They wanted to see fewer forma, and more of the good stuff. Right around the time I started playing Warframe, perhaps shortly before, DE "listened to the players" and cut forma rewards significantly.

Do you think that forma was replaced with good stuff?

No. No, it was replaced with 10- and 20-ducat prime trash. If you're a newer player, instead of eventually ending up with a backlog of 50-100 forma BPs as was the case for veteran players (so that you could, for example, go a few months without playing, only logging in to start a new forma and collect daily rewards), you instead end up with... 600-700 ducats worth of prime crap. The sheer stupidity of most Warframe players never ceases to amaze.

Which reminds me! I saved these Warframe forum classics last year, enjoy. I call them the BloodfiringSlayer Trilogy. Part 3 is the piece de resistance.
