Pretty certain putting a sword through a wolf's face is just as effective as doing it to a human...

So you expect to be able to block and fight fucking animals with weapons chiefly designed to fight and kill other humanoids with weapons? LOL WTF, would love to see you try that IRL.

People are indeed wrong to bitch about Gothic 3's animals, but certainly not for those idiotic reasons.

A human just doesn't wait for you come along and put a sword through his face. He will react. That's why you get training, to fight people using weapons designed for fighting people, to get past their defences.

Wild animals also don't wait for you to come along and put a sword or anything else through their faces. They will also react. That's also why you get training, to use weapons to kill animals.

But you are free to try either without both. Just be sure to record it and have someone upload it to YouTube post-mortem so we can all have a laugh.
