Whatever happened to Jaesun?

Back when I first started lurking here he was probably the most active mod in grpg. I know a vocal contingent hated his (for the Codex) aggressive moderation, but my memory is that he just mostly moved shitposts to retardoland and did a pretty good job otherwise staying hands-off.
Now I look at his profile and he hasn’t logged in in over a year. Anyone know why? Did DU decide the optics of having an openly gay Seattleite on the Codex staff for too unfavorable? Did he just get fed up with Crispy? Did Richard Garriott permanently digitize him into Shroud of the Avatar a la TRON?

Jaesun wasn't hands-off, he ruined a lot of old threads by merging them into megathreads without prompting. Had to be told to stop twice and warned that a third time would result in a de-modding.

Hmm I guess my memory is off. I thought Infinitron was the one who ushered in the era of mega-threads through aggressive merging.

Codex 2016 - The Age of Grimoire Grab the Codex by the pussy RPG Wokedex Strap Yourselves In Codex Year of the Donut Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag. Pathfinder: Wrath I helped put crap in Monomyth
Jaesun is addicted to SotA these days, or he was.

He used to be an extreme defender of the game on the official forums, but I've no idea if he's still obsessed with it.

He was a Star Wars obsessive, poor thang. I imagined him as the kind of guy who would tell the surviving cast members making appearances at SW conventions that he saw the original Stars Wars 150 times and then beg for an autograph, and they'd say, "I'll give you an autograph but you must promise me you'll never watch it again!"

Sadly, I don't think the cast are as based as Alec Guinness was.

They'd probably tell him to watch it another 150 times and to buy whatever merchandise was modelled on their character.

Jaesun was last seen in this mall with Crispy, Scrooge and Jenkem (the clown).

Take note on Crispy's terrible shoes. Zero drip.

One other thing I remember about the dear departed Jaesun was that he used to get in retarded flame wars with certain posters, and then when the other flamer wouldn't back down, Jaesun would abuse the tags he'd give under their username. I remember when Ash had this looooong list of 'dex epithet-tags under his username name which I think to this day stands as a codex record. I just never saw such an extraordinary high level of butthurtness from a moderator on a forum before and I remember feeling shocked that he was allowed to mod. He really seemed to know his stuff about FRUA and audio hardware for the PC however.

Wait, a mod that's horribly biased, doesn't make a separation between his private opinions and his responsibility as a mod, and abuses his privileges for petty, butthurt reasons? I have never seen such a thing. You must be making things up, it's impossible and never happens, certainly not otc.

To be fair Ash/CyberP was acting like a Typical Modder TM at the time. Thankfully, he got better.

Lots of memories from those days.

All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.
best part of having alzheimers is that at least you don't have alzheimers

Alzheimer’s is a gift. My grandmother was the nastiest woman alive who never smiled in her adult life until she got Alzheimer’s. Then she just turned into a sweet old lady who liked humming, smiling, and eating sweets.

it's unbearably tasteless for a spineless sycophant like yourself who was ostensibly made mod 'just to handle twitter' to speak from a position of any authority whatsoever about such matters
