And then with Tim Cain and Jason Anderson also making MMOs like Caneghem and Garriot, it just makes you wonder...

They all need to get rich before being able to finance the best RPG ever.

... or to fly into space.

WyrmLord from my few memories from Might and Magic 6: the mandate of heaven you switched between realtime combat and turn based combat with a key, the quirky part is to move your party you would have to shut off turn based mode. The system seems dumb but it actually worked well with the mechanics of that game.

You could move party in TB mode. In the end of every turn, when a palm icon appears, you can make several steps until the fingers run out. Not like it was ever needed.

The easy, weak enemies could be dispatched rather fast and you would only use TB for the more challenging parts or when a bit of intensive spellcasting was needed.

The bad thing, any challenging parts were cakewalk without any intensive spellcasting in realtime, as long as party has bows and there is enough space for perpetual strafe.
