6 its where you can play MP. Granted if you learn 4 then learning 5 or 6 is easy but then you wont learn it in SP...

Also even if you prefer SP 6 has the best AI.

Newest one? I mean they are pretty much just iterations of the previous one. But if you are interested in single player more, always the newest because of the AI improvements. Unless you really found a mod you like on a previous iteration.
