Wait I thought Star Gods declared nukes haraam or something, how did that Trader guy carry a baby nuke?
Is just a baby!
I think the star gods lets the guild do pretty much whatever it wants as long as the hellerium keeps coming. They also have custom warships after all.
Also, while I thought it was just rats that only sense in their field of view, it seems to work that way for normal Sense as well. No idea what the difference is.
Sense seems to just be sight that ignores obstructions. Which is still good, but having it be 360 degrees would be so much better.
Seems to be a bug here. When I try pathing to the bottom, it implies I can go through here but won't actually move me in this direction. Not even onto the obviously blank space below me. I assume this is related to the bug that makes the game crash.
Pretty sure this means there's an enemy standing there, but since you can't see it the pathing ignores it until you try to move onto its tile, at which point you get stopped. The engine really wasn't made for that type of diagonal movement it seems.
Why hello there beautiful. Nice to see you again. Wait, what were these fuckers weak to again? Fuck, I should have taken notes... I'll have to check the archive. It was either laser or piercing, pretty sure. Or electric. Something was bypassing their armour, and it wasn't plasma.
If you have it researched you can middle click the model to see its stats. Can't remember if you did that though.

Huh. I was expecting a base defense turret. This is... an 'auxialliary'? Does it spawn on the roof or something? Because having a rocket turret stuck inside my hull does not sound terribly useful. I am a fan of that armour though.
dfz3Kou.png
It says "guided rockets", so this could be like 8 blaster bomb shots.

Plus I'm going to assume that this is a 1x1 rather than a 2x2 auxillary since a 2x2 turret would block most of the ships and just straight up make them unplayable. Which sounds very space efficient and nice.

here's a new patch version out, one of the changes might be relevant to this campaign:
Cool! Dio never rests.

Just realized this thing also costs glamour. Fuck that. That's earmarked for the casino. Actually, I really need to step up my slavery and pitfighting game to get glamour for that. Next monster hunt we're taking everything alive. Same for zombies.
There's a mod that lets you swap Tokens from one Patron to another. A must-have.

Well. That's a tad suspicious.
That's Dio's own profile pic, heh. It used to be a mod before it was integrated into the mod.

I think we've got like 4 of these now? Really hope it's building up to some cat warrior training program.
Check the latest patch, it has catgirl stuff I think.

Happy New Year!

There's a mod that lets you swap Tokens from one Patron to another. A must-have.
Seems cheaty to me. Some patrons are way more valuable than others, while some have awful fucking missions. Besides, you can just donate cash. 10k to 1 token is steep, but doable once you get to this point.

Figured daylight would be better, they don't seem to have any trouble at night. And this time we got full plate with a shield, not chainmail.
ZODVcbI.png

And while we don't have the fatty to take these things down...
hYxEwMB.png

This seems to do an adequate job.
oHiY3Vf.png

Wait, where are they all? I know it's a small craft, but seriously?
7tjYn2p.png

Ugj, rats can't even handle tropical weather. What kind of lame ass rats are these?
qImaZJT.png

Next pair of rats makes it to the ship. Only 2 enemies inside? A wasp and a guardian?
Kv7x44c.png

Oh, right, I can probe these now. Man, no wonder I had trouble figuring out what kills these.
mEcMMDK.png

Less impressive than I'd expected.
QGTJo63.png

Still, we'll let the rats take point on this one.
harEfhK.png

Oh, right. That.
NjXppQW.png

Fuck it, we're going in for the haymakers! We can probably beat 45 armour on a good roll with Luka...
GBbpwR5.png

Or not. Lets try the force blade.
8uXkbtq.png

Damn, right through the shields and nearly killed the cunt. Going to be hard to avoid finishing it off now. They seem to have bizarrely high evasion?
RKn6V0g.png

Or we could luck out and land a hit with the tazer end of the origami. :yeah:
QofcqSw.png

Apparently having the rats pass out counts as the summoner's fault somehow.
1zLSsAb.png

Hmm, anything nice?
EhRJYAt.png

Bah, that's all too unwieldy to be practical. I was hoping for a grenade launcher type deal. Though vapourizing an entire map full of zombies at once would be satisfying...
uNTHQxw.png

Got this off an exoguard. They seem to mostly hold dossiers on aliens and shit. Bah.
ALJ953N.png

Hmm, more hellerium would be nice. Not for selling at this point, but to fuel ships if we run low.
97raU4a.png

I bet that enables an even better process. Tempting. What, is this fusion power that things keep referencing? That'd be huge...
kkSf2hm.png

Wow, Primal Hunt already huh? Shamblers? That'll be a piece of cake. We were fighting them with spears to begin with anyways, with far worse stats.
9yh9s3k.png

Alas, no sending a Syn in, but a hyena rider would have been fair game, apparently. Feels like there should have been more monster mounts, honestly. Gimme my spider riders!
5BzuNkF.png

They are actually very resistant to mind damage, so the demon essence wouldn't even be that useful.
aO9YimZ.png

Oh, but while browsing stone age stuff I remembered these! they'll be great for luka, I can trade 6 morale per turn for 6 energy. Very nice.
tDJoSO5.png

Man, this is going to take forever.
xJzxnE4.png

About 33 hours for the one way trip apparently. Urgh.
ojTRbtf.png

What, I'm not trapped with 20 of them in some tiny arena? This is a cakewalk!
UkEP14m.png

Pipes of doom take them out in 2 shots. Not too shabby. Also, a single shot would make them berserk.
UGv9MHI.png

Spearwall isn't working at all though. Every single time a shambler approached nobody stabbed it and it got into fisticuffs. Thankfully our evasion outclassed it easily.
2i6k2ot.png

There's a lightsource over here? Weird. Loot for the mission I guess.
vrfMZdf.png

For a second I thought I'd melted his corpse apart, but he's just clipping through the hill.
qUjlAp6.png

Man, we kicked their asses and took half of them alive. We rock!
P9XZUw6.png

Hmm, a moon flower is nice but 3we can buy those now... Frog Concotion? That's new. No idea what it might do.
IY2Bbjg.png

Alas, we exhausted our most precious resource to win. We may never recover.
fGNWiNN.png

Somehow, Luka ranked up during this mission. Good job, uh... delegating?
geEt0RR.png

Oh damn, it's everything I hoped for. Balanced resists, hefty armour (better than platemail!) and it's got some stat penalties, but who cares? Give an ogre a huge weapon and stick him in front to trade shots. This rules. It even LOOKS cool.
t8ZWU3I.png

Been wanting to do this one for a while, even though it's basically obsolete. I just love these things. They perform way above spec for some reaosn. Maybe the stabbing damage? Whatever it is, they tend to kill things way faster than they should.
VvVtqX0.png

Huh. Not what I expected. That's such random gibberish I have to find out what it does. Better melee weapons would be welcome, this sounds vaguely EMP related?
fYGjjXJ.png

Protip from a guild engineer. Now if only we could fire the fucking minilaunchers we have stockpiled. :argh:
7dfNP40.png

Well this is new. Reward for the primal hunt?
ebTJAlz.png

Bombing run at our drug plant. They failed though, and after the missiles blew up the bombers vanished. But not the other enemy vessels. Weird.
zHN1ltX.png

Man, it's nice to outrange and outspeed something for once. Just sit back an fire one missile at a time to avoid wasting ammo or taking damage.
fD7TTqf.png

Oh right, the zombie gal this. We had a few potential candidates, but out of all of them... apparently the Gnome was one?! Seemed only fair to test the process out on her, since the stupid cunt wouldn't give us any techs while we were stuggling for the first 2 years without finding any gnomes. It's actually a pretty nice modification for a gnome; the HP boost is really substantial, and will make a huge difference in a vehicle with a ton of armour. Now we just need a good vehicle. Where are those cyberdisks when you need them...
esLrNmD.png

Anyways, the freak gals arrived. There was another with slightly higher vpwr, but in the end I settled on this one to take up the mantle of Slut. The stamina is off the charts, and health was actually at 110 before the weirdgal tranformation, which seems to have brought it down to the cap. Still decent melee and strength too, and bravery high enough to not need 2 years of training programs to get in the mix. Now I just need a decent spellcaster outfit. Oh, and voodoo training. That'll be a while.
u31kBfb.png

Azira has been succeeded by a gnome, since I really wanted another on the team.Remarkable voodoo power here too. Going to need some training as well before seeing battle though.
VvKPj3J.png

That's uh, quite the 'interrogation' technique we have here.
MriYLZR.png

Apparently we destroyed the robe during the interrogation or something. I wonder if it would have been better to kill it in battle. Bet it would have dropped the robe and studying that might have revealed armour tech. Ah well. More where that came from!
RpIFd4d.png

Arcane box finally gives us something cool! This is the accessory that restores TUs by dealing damage!
Dup3y06.png

The problem is, who to give it to. Luka is out because the effect is mind base, and Syns only take 25% mind damage. Toxo here could benefit like crazy since she's got ungodly energy supply to keep spamming attacks with... but she'd need to hold it in one hand. Not the end of the world but... I think we stick it in Lenneth's backpack.

GeBQmil.png

Also, I am so thrilled one of our ogres has enough strength to do this. This is gonna be fun.
XSJWL8q.png

And what better place to test it out than a Taberna? Good luck piercing 70 armour with fucking pirate guns, ya dickheads!
ZcXCybj.png

Luka having a field day too with the cards. Necropirates have shit armour and don't resist cutting. The cards 2 shot them.
AABvGSI.png

Vampire gal over here refuses to move for some reason. More weird LoS shennanigans; targetting the tile behind here gives 70% accuracy instead of the 35% on her. But if I hold Ctrl to target the tile through obstacles... it drops to 35%. Doesn't do that elsewhere. It let me fire on the tile without doing that... but the bullets seemed to just phase through her. Spherical cow in a frictionless vacuum or something, I dunno.
JrS6wwn.png

One of the things I wanted to try with the skull was see if splash from a mortar would trigger the TU recovery. No dice though, alas.
R0vGhuy.png

Brought the Tarnian arrows (fire damage) as well. One shot a werewolf with them. Pretty nice vs the right targets.
atRxStp.png

I calculated Modron's turn a little TOO precisely and he got left out here when spotting an enemy ate some extra TUs while turning.
s5G43Wp.png

Not really worried but... I'll zap him with the wand of airlessness so he falls down before getting too wounded. I think this is part of why the choking damage thing confused me; the wand just does what it says on the tin. None of this 'special fire damage' nonsense.
RdhJIMx.png

I actually wildly underestimated how much stun I'd given him, forgetting that half a bar is just 50, not half his total of 220. We only ended up taking one shot anyways though. I really ought to give him poisoner so he can regen a bit during long battles where he gets injured. Shouldn't be hard with the cobra staff.
kovto5M.png

Ooh, this is what hit him I think. I finally get to see what the hell it is when we win!
UAhIG6W.png

Vampire boyfriend was just as reluctant to move as the gal. Weird. I guess it's so they ambush you when you get close to them. Suckers didn't know we've got spotters!
ni7F3tJ.png

Quicksilver cutlass huh? Maybe a good way to build traditional ranks on Lenneth, I'm still trying for that fusion training. Seems kinda cheap though, maybe it's not actually that good? Could be a voodoo weapon too, since it has ranged attacks...
4RdoJg9.png

Trying to make space for all those filthy rags, I finally found out what the T-D lockers are. It's just storage space. I don't remember activating them at any point, but apparently we've got 300 extra space thanks to these. Scary to think it's not even close to enough or all our loot. I almost need another vault. Well, it'll be easier once I transfer the ships to the other base.
AzlfgkD.png

Wait, what the fuck? The they blow up Luka's lascannon when I dropped it near the ship? Motherfuckers! :rage:

Not sure why the cards are gone too, never dropped those. I thought they were like the medikits?
pOUEtFz.png

We discovered a new title though! Would be kinda crazy to get this with an axe as intended, though I suppose an ogre with that barrager armour, or Luka herself, could do that once or twice before getting exhausted. It's a good title for Luka too, more throwing and energy regen will be nice, and getting 3 kills in a turn with the cards is easy.
SKBYPqm.png

Another primal hunt? I'm curious about the frogs, heard of them but never fought them. Heat instead of cold would make catgirls and goblins in camo viable too.
rtyEeOh.png

Ugh, it's way over here though? Fuck that. I don't want to keep a crew busy for the better part of a week to get frog parts.
bkGsMvo.png

Huh, this seems easier than I expected. I wonder how much damage to their mental abilities is caused and what that entails. Would suck if it drained voodoo power each time... but still a worthy tradeoff no doubt. I can't exactly take a look either; we don't have those two facilities in a single place. Will have to sell off a charged radar at avalon to install a surgery. Kinda makes sense, that's our second best research area anyways.
SW4Qgfa.png

Finally did this one. It's about what I expected for their lowest tier weaponry. Didn't unlock anything more either. Ripoff.
AwJyzFk.png

Huh, so this does qualify as a VIP I guess. Next rank whenever I want it I suppose. Not exactly chomping at the bit for that though. We're starting to get real powerful weapons and armour; I think we can clear out these enemy bases and stop them from starting new ones now. Maybe I'll try for that first. Though it'll probably give so much infamy we get the rank in the process anyways.
RBuotxm.png

Hmm, pointless lore or useful tech?
ud7BUfw.png

Ooh, that's interesting indeed. I look forward to us getting annihilated in space by cyberdisks.
s7x4Qzl.png

Found this while browsing the bootypedia. Will be good to know when we end up going after the rimriders again. Since their bases aren't actually vanishing on their own, I wonder if I should tackle another of those next. I have a good idea of how to handle them I think, way better gear now, and I know they can drop a fatty, which would actually be a huge upgrade to our arsenal even now. And we never did catch an animatron or those green ladies. And I want plasma knives again! Hmmmm...
Rckw7wd.png

Man, that's some crazy shield regen rate. No wonder I failed to kill them properly before. Immune to choking too, and 50% daze resist, so no wonder we couldn't punch it out. I wonder what the other weakness of blue shields is. Apparently I've yet to test bio, chem, and fire. Any of those could be useful for catching these guys alive; they actually have proper morale mechanics, and will stay asleep if I drain their freshness. Also, definitely fight them during the day. 30 NV, fuck me. That chrome camo would have to be amazing to make it worthwhile with enemies like this around.
4v3BhKw.png

This was hidden in the entries too, never popped up when we interrogated him. Guessing it's an issue of overlapping unlocks or something.
l7vaZac.png

It allows fucking craft upgrades? Jesus. Of course that's locked behind a fucking vibro sword.
m79hOeA.png

Oh, excuse me, fucking School Graduation is locked behind it too. Along with 3 other rad looking techs. Seems we'll be having a lot more brainers in the near future.

Finished studying this body. Apparently it's piercing they're weak to? In practice, laser is going to do better due to the armour piercing I think. I suppose armour piercing things like sniper rifles could handle them too though. Definitely a nightmare to try and take alive.

bpqUFHR.png

More testing with the crystal skull. It seems to count stun damage, maybe? It feels very unreliable. I think damage stopped by armour doesn't count, and I suspect overkill doesn't either.
2k9fvwc.png

Hmm, not very useful. Are frogs supposed to show up in the early game? I keep seeing references implying they should, but have never seen any across any of my playthroughs.
awSlzew.png

Even the game thinks you should study the sword!
XANIfuG.png

Well... ok then.
EYxgHbG.png

The fact that this is specific to the shamblers makes me regret not taking the frog killing mission. I'm going to need to set up a secondary party elsewhere on the globe I think.
e0gkgg7.png

Guess this thing doesn't fire energy blasts? What the fuck was that necropirate using then? Some weird electric ammo maybe?
LIynaB5.png

Oh cool, now I don't need to fight the govt any more. Unless they piss me off.
XIYxD8h.png

Ah, here is one of the challenge missions we passed up before. I'd consider giving it a try, but our decent peasants are all fucked up from training right now and not even in the right base.
wYpgtN0.png

It's probably a bad idea anyways, it's a total suicide mission. You go in not just naked, but in bondage gear. The enemies are armed mostly with stun weapons... but some have laser guns. The real problem is the constant psi attacks, and the exit being guarded by a fucking ogre we have almost no way to even injure aside from a stolen cattle prod that MIGHT hurt it. I dunno what the reward for this would be, and I'd love some MA tokens, but this is extremely risky unless you've got like a decent sized squad with capped voodoo power, bravery and melee.
OUNvoDr.png

Turns out goblins can use the huntress training too! It actually gives a nice throwing boost, which is nice since that's hard to train outside of combat.
ECsbJQL.png

Well, good thing we've already researched all those things
sxj8jKg.png

Damn, another big payoff. Again, I want... all of that. So badly.
8RHV1UL.png

Funny little bit of lore stuff I'd been putting off. Maybe there's a benefit though?
bDaDcw1.png

Well, more to dig through first.
Kxbjqxa.png

Huh, I think I found one of these in a playthrough before as a reward from some mission. Charm damage is notable for bypassing shields.
b6ajcTR.png

Hmm, it's easily stopped by armour, but will shred it in the process. I was hoping it could be used to stun things but it's stun damage is even worse than the hp damage. Still, I could se this being pretty useful in a niche situation, to weaken a target and then take it alive with punches or whatever.
ApqZJWV.png

I was indeed wrong about how the withdraw button works. Engaged what I thought was a lone supply ship, which then spawned fighters when we got near? And I was able to withdraw from the fighters. I actually led them on a little chase, circled around and picked off the supply ship.
XDcdABA.png

Once we left their radar though the went back to guard the crash site. Annoying. I actually want the hellerium they supposedly carry.
dbx9E7U.png

Well, this might be a good target too.
HRQS5Nw.png

Hmm, no cyberdisks. Definitely going to be looking harder for those now that we've got a decent ship that could carry one.
QRU2kVG.png

Luka's turn to try the skull out. Either I was wrong about the overkill thing or the mind resistance thing, because this is giving pretty respectable TUs back from sword swings.
W05w8cD.png

It's not game breakingly good since we still run out of energy and Luka only recovers like, 50 each turn. But it can make the difference between getting back to cover or not after a killing spree, and it'd be way stronger if used in a crowded place, or on someone with overwatch, a good gun and a small TU pool.
R0U6jkK.png

Trying for that supply ship next. The time limit is short, but I know how it works now, and if I go in full blast from the start, I think we can pull it off.
LaVenCC.png

Man, it's satisying punching right through their shields with a laser blast.
dH7zllO.png

Only takes a few turns to massacre everyone scattered in the open. The terrain is certainly in our favour.
OvEU9ho.png

I really gotta get more of these cannons.
k0oa31G.png

Neophytes here too. This isn't that hard a group to take out, though they're weapons are decent, plasma and such.
sbODB60.png

The only real attack they got off was a grenade thrown , but it didn't even bust our shields.
B0kbVzF.png

What the? I was promised hellerium!
x3R1jA3.png

Well, hell rockets are new to me. And the guns will sell for a ton of cash.
JtUoAWs.png

Ah, the free market at work.
JvZew6G.png

Damn, I've wanted this thing for so long. These stats are insane. 210 base accuracy. Snapshots. 7 blasts per shot. 7 shots with autofire. Given decent mastery (Lightbane is probably our best right now at around... 5000ish? Doubling that isn't out of the question.) We're looking at 35 power, +4 per rank. I forget lightbane's rank, but call it say, 3? That's 47 power. Which sounds kinda lame except when you're firing 50 pellets and...
QipVJba.png

Well, the cost for that is 30 morale and 60 energy. So not spammable. But not impossible either.
qvnUYjN.png

The really beauty is down here though. Look at all this shit! Ignores 60% of armour. Damages armour! 200% stun! 400% TU damage, making it brutal for overwatch to cover a doorway or simply disable reactions on a whole group of enemies. GIMME!
VXNWQaA.png

Aww fuck. I knew those books had to be good for something besides tokens. Mansion mission when?
TyIwMY4.png

Speaking of lightbane, he got shot up a bit on a bandit run because I forgot to bring him back in the ship after spotting.
FJ8jW4Z.png

Turns out Luka is great for another reason though: She can actually use a sivalinga stone like 5 times without running out of energy.
xG6EQH4.png

Sadly, training for aziri and Maria (the new Syn) is going pretty slowly.
SqhKm9z.png

Speaking of training though, I found a new one! Apparently, the path of herbs doesn't just enable chaplain training, but damsel training as well. Seems a Cat-witch is more viable than I'd realized.
MDOthLc.png

Also, I could have sworn Lenneth was on the list of potential zombies. Did I zombify her already? I don't think I did... what gives?
L82Rhug.png

Well, it doesn't crank out more hellerium, (or even make money) but it's still a damned useful building. Good thing we've been collecting engines lately.
FLhwBeA.png

This is a great outfit. Aside from the best armour on goblins so far, aside from the avenger, it just has other great stats. Energy recovery, evasion, it boosts strength and throwing... if I can get a squad of ~5 goblins in this stuff together, those UAC vaults will be a breeze.
DEq6LWW.png

Hmm, codexia is definitely the best candidate for the hellerium plant, given that it desperately needs the space it could gain by consolidating those other functions, and expanding research options with the power supply. I'd really like more base defenses too. It really is time to be removing a hangar and moving the ships to the Peak. I started a spa there; once that's done I'll move the hands over and remodel codexia into a proper research base.
ckAxGch.png

Aziri's other stats might be shit, but should be a viable mage pretty damned soon. I hope there's a good outfit for a gnome mage. Something with nice shields, perhaps?
2w9k2EQ.png

Very old tech I kept putting off because bombs are a shit craft weapons and I couldn't think of anything they'd logically lead into. I was right. Waste of time.
lU6PjsZ.png

Damn, that school graduation tech is going to take FOREVER. I can't recall the exact delineations, but poor is like, multiple weeks I think. I can't justify putting off stuff like air supremacy and new shields off for a month. I'll tackle it after our tech tree is a little less exciting. We do have 15 brainers working in the other bases now too, at least. My plan to keep them from overlapping is simple: I pick something still new on the tree and don't change it till it's done. Well, except the base with a single brainer. It's spamming Socializing.
jToLnVa.png

Starting another industrial printer up in the drug lab. This place keeps getting buzzed by bombers and star god crack downs. I hope it doesn't get wiped out by an army of sectopods or something.
5Xg6kKJ.png

Seems trustworthy.
eD0gXD2.png

Ooh, we got a mystery box! Worth it!
C2wUWxD.png

Dang, was hoping for new orbs. Ah well.
qM5RUGl.png

Pretty sure this is a star god pogrom. Going in to gather intel.
ZsxfCSE.png

There were some very large sounding guns going off out there. And red energy blasts. Warp damage, perhaps?
B8HcyPT.png

Yep. Those are star gods alright.
5jKok5c.png

And one of these fuckers while we're at it.
WcRdhdk.png

Suprisingly low health and daze resistances; the werewolf cheese might actually be viable. Supposing I could distract it with rats or something and howl from behind I'd need an attack dealing... 24 damage to get past the armour. Howl at ~5 tiles or so does like 30-100 or something like that, so it's certainly possible to at least strip all their morale and TUs in one turn with a few werewolves. We got that voice thing and TK thingy that could damage the armour too.. It's reactions aren't insanely high either. Since it's landbound and can't fit inside the kraken, we could play popamole with it. One of these pogroms might be winnable even now if I brought the right crew and took things slow enough.
fyt8Ba9.png

Another important test: Chem damage versus blue shields.
SKinH32.png

Yep, it works. So there's another tool we should bring. Chem does good morale damage too, which seems reasonably useful against both guardians and sectopods.
eFcwtkK.png

Well, no bloodthirsty glory charge this time. We'll take heads next time though.
zR1ipmN.png

Apparently I can dismantle these without having them researched? Dunno why you'd want to do that, they don't contain any special parts.
PR3NVhV.png

Red shields at last! like nothing has bio or mind damage, these will dominate any of our current enemies if we can get them running. And I've been hoarding gems all game long, so that shouldn't be a problem.
yUI1gKk.png

Wait... there's an option for dog shields? That's almost tempting, a red shielded normal dog would just destroy the UAC vaults and ratmen, while a bloodhound would arguably be useful even in normal battles with proper gear. Obviously though, going for the sear armour first.
0h9cViy.png

Well timed party. No ninjas this time, just the osiron novices.
9HUkY8L.png

Sadly, our own novices went down too quickly to earn much xp.
9PgNTw6.png

Still a great mission though. No serious wounds, 40 glamour, 26 prisoners... good stuff!
w2ZL0dP.png

Another crackdown ship going after our drug lab. I wonder if I should make a shroud there... or give them the nukes.

I think we stick it in Lenneth's backpack.
I think the skull only functions if you hold it.
Guess this thing doesn't fire energy blasts? What the fuck was that necropirate using then? Some weird electric ammo maybe?
LIynaB5.png
This was my goto melee weapon for most of the game. 7 TUs per attack is just too good, and the damage really isn't bad either, even if it is a bit low by melee standards.
210 base accuracy. Snapshots. 7 blasts per shot
Sadly it follows shotgun rules, so even with 100 vpwr/vskl at least half the blasts will miss as soon as you are firing beyond more than a few tiles.
Another crackdown ship going after our drug lab. I wonder if I should make a shroud there... or give them the nukes.
rjesOMm.png
You're certainly going to need to do something if you expect them to survive a star god base assault.

It makes no sense for star gods to personally come kill mutant civilians
According to the captive we researched the red guys are just golems and we've yet to find the real gods.(Meaning my previous heroic death was in fact mostly pointless :argh:)

Hmm, Lenneth can be zombified again. Dunno what's going on here. Weird.

ha78ZYy.png

Fuck, I forgot to reload the ship after doing the party!
CU5voFP.png

Ah well, at least it's a milk run. Though our attempt to shank 3 nurses in a row was foiled when one of them shot our target just as we reached it.
yAOAMO5.png

Doesn't feel like a problem I've been having, but sure, why not.
Mj50pvL.png

These sound fun.
dHudWvV.png

We got some tranq harpoons too. Actualy pretty nice, that's a lot of daze at a distance, and it bypasses some armour.
8MfMNFO.png

They've upgraded all the way to a cruiser. I assume this is retaliation for the ship we took out.
JCKX6Cp.png

Not what I was expecting here. What would even be the point of this?? It's going to hit for like 300 health damage but only on targets with no armour? You could use it to kill zombies I guess... but you could also just use a normal sword twice.
e7ZeRyz.png

Hmm, I hope Saya has better stat bonuses than this when we recruit her.
S52Kj5J.png

Aww fuck.
vjJUngc.png

At least the airbus is quick to buy.
evQMUpW.png

Yep, that's random naked outfits. Wish we could at least pick which ones to arrive in. The white dress doesn't see enough usage. It's not good enough to justify using in normal missions, but void palm is so satisfying. Same with gym outfits for martial arts.
lFEF8ZU.png

Seems most of the gals are in cells to begin with. What idiot left this student in here with an uber alone?
vqnRM5g.png

I tried kicking the cell doors down but no dice. Guess we need to find a crowbar or something?
OOlIET3.png

One other gal is free, being watched through a window in the showers.
LRkzBwU.png

Our target area, I assume? It started revealed for some reason.
11DpOjh.png

Damn, that's a lot of movement. This is gonna take a while.
A9nHe4E.png

The exam room had some toys laying around for us.
oCv5GTl.png

Probably not much point in using the manacles, but hell, why not.
qyoqS8l.png

Apparently the walls of the cell are weaker than the doors. Go figure.
aLZkQy1.png

Found a pickaxe in a mine or something over here too. Probably the intended solution.
PCg5cQf.png

Map footprint is mercifully small, this is the entire thing.
5x3OjOV.png

Potion eh? I'll just leave it to research when we leave and loot everything.
dm5hQIQ.png

Intended solution for Megmumin fans, I suppose? I'll pass, we might blow up the loot.
4MRbTto.png

Nurse watching us breakout stood near the window so we can put the dart gun to good use.
UChgHuN.png

...and she's dead. 'Sleep Darts' actually deal bio damage. They're not super lethal, but these nurses and students are very fragile.
nGMlWn3.png

View of the way the floors are stacked. Kinda neat.
iPpKIXr.png

Seems to be a lot of long hallways with guards. The reticulan base was kinda similar, but with better guards. And use being peasants.
yceYqBP.png

Walking down long hallways is dumb, so we make our own doorway.
4sIyPip.png

This mission is really fun. I like having to find and scavenge equipment, and just generally play a bit smarter than usual.
xTVXVOW.png

Purple ribbons scattered around. Difficulty tweak to handle morale problems, or maybe a hint that our purple patron is with us on this mission?
j4z3IIw.png

More wall destroying tools. What kind of lame ass uber would need this when we have picks?
hLj9sol.png

Morale is starting to get a bit shit, this is taking a while. Hopefully we can speed up as we acquire more weapons.
KhF7a5r.png

Soup can't wait that long and goes insane already.
Gd74bj5.png

Fortunately, this problem has a simple solution: We kill some bitches. Luckily one had a holdout pistol instead of sleep darts.
kDnMmLb.png

Ahh, much better.
TSXHZLS.png

Quite the funky room here. Not exactly where I want to be standing though.
NUNxrG6.png

Lenneth ran around hacking walls down and found the goodies. We'll leave these alone as well though. It should be easy enough to make the enemies surrender by just killing a bunch of them.
Sgu7ZKH.png

Fuck, doors! My one weakness!
MHV9ktd.png

Well, not that much of a weakness. Still, that hurt a little!
g4o9D4W.png

Not exactly what I'd consider 'poorly trained' but I suppose there has to be some exceptions. Still not good enough to avoid punch-fu.
UCSqyt3.png

Another one jumps out at us too. Thankfully even if they knocked someone out we'd be able to mob her.
AND1sXG.png

Lenneth running around re-enacting The Shining everywhere is great.
11W9QkR.png

Oh come on, that definitely doesn't count as a wimp. Good thing we brought well trained gals with high bravery.
u72C41R.png

This place isn't lacking for medical kits either.
AqnjbCM.png

It's also quite colourful. Though the coding of the walls doesn't seem to make much sense.
salLxPP.png

Engineer dead. That ought to really fuck up their morale.
NaB57mS.png

Another fancy scienmagific room. Not a lot of staff for a place with this many chairs.
pSgDN8n.png

Lots of screaming now. Our freshness is getting a bit low but I can shoot the sleeping bodies if need be. Or just for fun.
0SR8AmK.png

We've got like 4 gals with guns in the stairwell now. This is over.
2P4gE3f.png

And so it is over indeed. God damn that's a lot of bounty items. I've never seen it need a scroll bar before.
8oMhUBw.png

Not that I actually did, but the total sale value here is over 12 million. When you consider the real value of stuff like the engines... god damn. I think this was on par with the church base, aside from the shitty weaponry.
Ah17BO5.png

Two new recruits. Optimist's estranged illiegitimate bugeye relative. (I want more of these now that voodoo is getting fun)
TC7ePDF.png

And Pyrite has joined as a catgirl. Potentially a voodoo caster? We'll see.
lM8xYrZ.png

Got this tip after researching the slime hound graft thing. Which was a huge disappointment; basically just an armour set for bloodhounds that lets them move through sludge faster. Maybe would have been nice if it showed up in like, the first year.
gdRzn0n.png

Sear armour is both nice and underwhelming. I'm glad it's got some armour underneath, and 100 red shields is nothing to sneeze at, it's basically bulletproof. But... why is it based on such a shitty, low tech armour? There's got to be a better version of this right? I do love that evasion though...
cNAgGzv.png

This thing is just brutal. Forget bravery, this thing dishes out like twice the damage the poison dagger would even on Luka, who has none. Absolute enemy melter this is. I think I know what we're bringing to the merc base raid.

There are a few of them that need to be worked on in the manufacturing screen before they'll consent to interrogation.

Just that one sky engineer guy. I was expecting somehting with the cardinal or rep or something but nothing so far.
Tower escape provides a nice chance to snag a mage and earn some more MA tokens. Modron manages to dig a hole in the roof of the ship from ground level by tossing magma at it. Stylish.

hE3L6h9.png

Interesting title. Seems difficult to farm though, unless you get something crazy like tricking an enemy into blowing everyone up with a nuke or something. I guess you could intentionally give them the bomb? Would that even count? Morale penalty kinda sucks anyways...
mQvUtYW.png

Dang, this one is nearby. Kinda tempting, but werewolves are scary. But surely it rewards an good training method right? Sadly, not much in the way of stone age weapons that will easily handle a werewolf...
JIuhfvF.png

Had to see how good it is. It's... not terrible. Not exactly earth shattering either though. Maybe I'll try make a hero dog as the goblin mascot for cave missions or something. We can name her Sif. :shittydog:
dqrtzyM.png

Dang, this is underwhelming.
eOdrG7B.png

Meh.
inPMz21.png

Ewww, it's not even for any of the good guns.
L9N5QX3.png

We got another technomancer cave mission! I tried to rush the research on the body at the last second to see what her weaknesses are, but we missed it by a hair I think.
XEqjZNk.png

In we go!
dmrHm3Z.png

Going a lot faster this time. Maybe we can even rescue the damsel? Also, I've realized the crystal skull only works with melee. Maybe it works in the backpack then though? I don't think I tried that combo.
dfF0JtM.png

Found the cunt, and it's only turn 5. I tried shield bashing this time, but we ran out of energy.
CmQdAhx.png

Seems to have dealt some stun though. Modron already drained her TUs with the bioplasma.
NkQtm0s.png

Bard manages to somehow whiff 5 shots at 82% accuracy in a row.
P07zxnd.png

Luka tries punching for a while, but between the armour and evasion, it didn't acocmplish much.
neLAKnJ.png

Tesla coil it is then!
6PPmD86.png

Had to pass the turn, but I figured we'll be fine. Lenneth has like, 90% melee evasion. Probably can't even get hit by that robot hand (though it would hurt like a motherfucker.) Of course, the shots 'randomly' deflect into Luka. Twice. Must be some kind of energy attack since shields held it off.
7rvvKjL.png

And of course half a dozen enemies show up all at once.
kemSX01.png

Including one of these.
GLhFTSg.png

Tried to have lenneth cut it down, but the quicksilver sword really isn't up to snuff for this. Barely even dented the armour after 10 swings.
1Oelu1p.png

Technomancer seems more vulnerable to electrics than I expected. Seems like a viable capture method?
GtkmUzC.png

We got her down! She is on fire... but it's probably fine. She had a lot of stun. Probably has at least 20 hp left.
VOtaPYL.png

Oof. Lenneth lost a TON of hp from a zombie bite, from the front no less. I can't believe it even hit, let alone got past armour.
aVsSL6H.png

And the fucking technomancer got back up. Jesus. Not an easy enemy to take alive it seems. But I have a plan.
O3qbnAZ.png

Fuck, I just scanned her and still forgot she gets back up with full TUs to counterattack us.
SpEtjEp.png

Definitely laser or plasma, that didn't hurt nearly as much as I expected.
EvIxC2O.png

Fuck, I keep doing it too. Though I thought the tesla gun would drain her TUs. Or just knock her out. Which I also expected the SMG to do.
b30UfyR.png

Oh COME ON. Fall down already.
bQIHrxX.png

How in the flying fuck is this bitch only lost 7 hp and gained 1 stun? Shock immunity or something? Doesn't elec damage bypass that?
SeAHBEV.png

Okay. She's finally down. AGAIN.
dnAhZuy.png

I can't quite clean up all the zombies, but we disarmed them at least. I think we'll be okay? Luka is carrying the body away, but didn't have enough TU left for the plan.
jf8p1P9.png

This is way more of a clusterfuck than I was expecting.
yA75uNH.png

Of course.
h84EfHx.png

Maybe the cobra staff? That's very nonlethal, and will drain freshness too.
YCgjwpG.png

And she's immune to it. Motherfucker!
iI3gMaI.png

Fortunately, the butt of the origami does the trick. To avoid getting fried to a crisp, I have an ogre try punching her first to bait out the electric gauntlet. Vindicator armour laughs at that electricity damage.
zpHt8CJ.png

Finally a breather from the zombie horde.
JFBOGgB.png

Okay, this is like, the third time we've knocked her out? Fourth? Commence plan 'Chuck that bitch into a pit!'
n9adqcS.png

What?! WHY?
RtOpSk3.png

I've definitely got the stats for this. Corpse weighs 60. Luka has 125 strength and like 200 energy.
FTfGN8R.png

So it's not a range issue. Won't let me throw onto rock tiles? I could have sworn that wasn't a problem before. Note to self: Experiment with knocking out a goblin and hucking it across the map with an ogre. For... tactical purposes.
ARCbTIA.png

Ugh. Here we go again.
M76D1Mz.png

Fortunately we can play the distraction game all day.
O2jX0g3.png

Or well, we could if people weren't starting to go berserk. This is a general problem with fighting zombies; they tend to get stunned rather than die, denying us the morale reward. I manage to feed Modron some drugs and stab some corpses though.
cxCNnQm.png

I bucket-brigaded a crowbar over here to dig out a hole in the side of the pit. Sayonara bitch!
zdYp2pN.png

Now to clear out the lair.
KqTZXSM.png

We somehow fail to kill this trooper with multiple people zapping it. Luckily Luka can just tank the bites.
RyhYwlh.png

Modron showing the value of the TU stealing effect, freezing a zombie on the elevator so it blocks the next one form coming down afterwards.
wFX10VA.png

He uses it to blast the secret door open too, since we left the crowbar back at the pit.
mSL8OzQ.png

I spent like 10 turns scouring the level but this is really the only enemy left. Strangely, bug hunt mode never engaged. No idea why.
Fi1bpYz.png

Oh come on. I mean, there's still a chance this works? The butt of the origami only deals 10% hp damage...
k9kNjFu.png

Nope she's dead. Total fucking waste of time and effort trying to catch her. I feel robbed. I didn't even screenshot the loot. Same shit as before. Who cares. Fucking bullshit RNG and stupid boss with infinite stun recovery and built in super weapons.

Probably it has a freshness requirement, and she was in recovery?

I never managed to take it alive either. It's supposed to be a one time mission too I think. It's not an important interrogation, although it can give you a free syn recruit.

Yeah, I figured it'd be something like that. I was mostly just angry I went to all that effort, felt really clever... and still didn't pull it off because of shitty RNG on the damage vs stun rolls and her being on fire for like 4 turns.

Anyways, moving on....

I really wanted to try that werewolf hunt since we can just escape if it gets too scary, but we've got like, 3 people that could go. And it wouldn't even include Lenneth. Damn.
Vdz67M4.png

Gah. I already have a decent interceptor!
jbCNj3i.png

And you didn't even unlock it directly! Fuck off! Give me a warship or big transport for like 12 people and 2 tanks.
2YOg3dq.png

Another decent month. Payment reduction is fine; they're not leaving.
39oTwVV.png

Lore dump. Win game by raising zombie army when?
NTOGa3s.png

Amusing to get the intel on these guys this way.
p0ng99E.png

Fucking arcane tomes cheaping out on me too. Give me items!
38bbyv9.png

Hmm, this is better than I thought. I was expecting something more like in Aliens; with no real armour value, let alone a proper exosuit.
IDQ9Hsl.png

And I really wasn't expecting weapon unlocks. These might be nice.
DQGlyPV.png

Finally researched this deathtrap. Wasn't gating anything though. I struggle to imagine when one would use this. Flight is useful, sure, but by the time you have this you could have grav suits just as easily.
8829ftR.png

Game warned me of 'new competition' in the rogue fields, but judging by the hideout number it's just an old one. Still, I want to clear some of these out this month.
cc6IWZ1.png

Oh, those stasis orbs can actually make our bioplasma projectors. That's not bad... except I've got nothing worth putting them on.
jrWGyDZ.png

Did a prepper camp mission and got a nasty zombie variant.
Myxy1Oi.png

Nasty because of so many funky zombies. No ranged ones, at least, but this would be brutal if it showed up back when these missions first appeared.
gOAmc5t.png

Surprisingly shit xp gains considering how many shots we landed.
3Iu9xiZ.png

Comparison of Maria to Luka, who seems to have capped her stats a while ago. Shame it doesn't show REA on here. God damn, 175 as the cap for BASE Tus is insane. Wish throwing were a bit higher though. I guess it still beats gals. I forgot they don't even hit 100 there.
4hkz3uo.png

Arcane box reward. Tee-hee. Maybe use them on a merc base? Or church... that'd be thematic.
v7EUt4x.png

Highway house mission. These are supposed to be an early game means of getting vessel weapons. I skipped them though, because they're defended by this fucker.
EpU3MiD.png

Sure, he's a chump now, but trying to fight this guy with like, fucking javelins and maybe chain armour at best? Fuck that.
Bc5AdVH.png

It's also got excellent nightvision and sniper, so if you spawned far away you won't even know they have this when suddenly half your team explodes because someone shot a highwayman. Also, weirdly, highly bio resistant. I tried shanking him with Luka and had no luck. The dude's not in a tank, why wouldn't this work? The other reason to hate this mission is it's also filled with storm rats, who ALSO have spotter and sniper, and are walking tanks in their own right.
UOWDF4M.png

All that for a 25mm cannon. A decent craft weapon for the early game, sure, but thay ammo will be gone before you know it.
Msq7ehH.png

Anyways, Lenneth got her eighth level of Nightengale from that mission, so I wanted to see how insane her nightvision has become, and threw her into the assassin outfit. Also, 181 accuracy. Holy crap.
VQu4ls1.png

So, this is when she's looking into the corner.
3MVM62H.png

And this is her vision range. Clear from one edge of the map to the other, and almost corner to corner. On top of that, 70% smoke vision and 10 spot means she can probably see enemies at 25 tiles other people couldn't see from 7. Shame that whole spotter thing renders it fairly weak in most cases.
aRH9eHb.png

Also, 590% firing accuracy. ZOOM. ENHANCE. Now shoot him in the back left upper molar. To be fair, sniping with this much accuracy is a waste; we could be firing a minigun or grenade launcher across the map with pinpoint accuracy instead.
qeycm5q.png

Took longer than I expected, but we finished this up.
nZI87rC.png

So apparently she had EMP voodo? I thought I was getting hit through walls by something... weird that she didn't use it after I put her in time out. Also, apparently her big weakness is EMP. Kinda obvious in retrospect, but my emp weapons are utter shit anyways, so maybe not so useful. Still, probably could have taken her alive if I'd known that. Even with her fucking THIRTY THREE flat stun recovery per turn.
JHzy2D3.png

"You're not unlucky, you're just taking uneccesary risks! Play better!"
BRZsnpG.png

Cool. Thanks game.
K5P9uYG.png

Immediate second volley got shot down at least.
mfnlf2M.png

Dang, now there's a gun worth sniping with. 2 shots per round. I think there's a title for that maybe? I should try. Though this might count as a cannon... is this a Hellsing reference? Just checked. Her gun was only 30mm. Honestly feels like this should do like double that damage.
qpJbg6n.png

Was really hoping for a new craft option when I saw this pop up. Good to know it's 5k speed though. Wish I knew what it's gun was. If it's a cannon maybe you could dodge tank this thing? But missiles tend to have insane accuracy.
GIiI2Ux.png

Damn, this is nice too. less damage, but when you're landing a dozen shots at once you're bound to kill whatever this is pointed at anyways. Maybe I'll give one of these to an ogre instead of that laser cannon that keeps missing. 1000 hours to make ammo for it though.
dyGz86f.png

Hah, she found the wrong hideout. This is the run with the dudes.
UZTQjP3.png

Damn, that'd be nice in the early game.
dBCCNKp.png

This whole speed/withdraw thing sitll confuses me. I swear I keep encountering enemies slower than me that I can't keep at missile range. Maybe it's about manueverability too?
2fhFtoX.png

Speaking of which... this seems like the kind of thing you'd want to use to dodge tank the cruiser and kill it with bombs. Except it's slower than the cruiser because large ships aren't slow in this game, except ours. Still, maybe I should build one of these and slap a catgirl in it. Would be nice to use those light weapons for something.
ZvWHcVf.png

Fucking tomes keep giving me this shit! Weird that these have no armour.
YD3Ug7z.png

One of the random low end weapons I researched unlocked all this shit for no apparent reason. Whatever. Mech suits, here we come! Maybe shielded/hover tanks too? We have to be way past normal tanks by now...
1b5LqfN.png

Was about to sigh and pass on this gnome only shit again but... Loader? Even without a warparty... a loader can probably handle whatever the fuck this is right?
VtQT4zQ.png

Got around to this too, hoping it'd unlock better gauss craft weapons. No dice, and we still can't fucking wield the gauss guns, or minilaunchers, or plasma guns...
QLmHtWX.png

But this sounds promising.
DHJ4v0T.png

Derp. I forgot to transfer over the outfits when I moved our last ship over to the new interception/mission base.
KrnU0Lv.png

Note to self; check if this was profitable or not. I forgot to do that because...
DUQMEwH.png

These sound really fucking good. Revenant might be zombie/codex related, and we've invested a lot in that direction so I've got my hopes up it's a high end armour. Biotank... no idea. Healing facility maybe? Might unlock new training or transformations or who knows what. Or it's a bucket of goop for combat. We'll find out soon enough.
KnAZgcY.png

Oh, fuck. And I was all stoked I'd built the loader and got it here in time. I need a co-pilot and it has to be a gnome.
P7doNvY.png

We do have 2 more gnomes... hopefully this new one can get here in time... and doesn't just drown in the mission.

It's determined by if the enemy has hunter-killer behavior or not. If it's a craft with a radar circle it'll just charge you and the only way to keep it away is to micromanage the encounter.

If only your codex had given you a transport with those exact specifications! Alas.

Enemy ships frequently fly at less than max speed. This thing might kill a cruiser as long as the dps is high enough that the enemy ship won't have time to disengage before it goes from low hp to crash.

Hallucinatoids I guess? Ocean creatures we haven't seen in the lp?

Indeed. A tragedy for all time. I bet it would have shadowtech slots and shields too.

Well, it's not 12 sectopods surrounding the ship. We might be okay.
gnchus4.png

It's these things again. This is... probably fine? I recall they used psi attacks, which won't do dick to a gnome with 180 bravery and scary voodoo power. And otherwise they had a melee attack that stuns you? Electric or daze probably? I doubt the power armour will be taken down by tentacles.
RnoeluX.png

Oh yeah, and they've got that weird 1 armour but high resists thing going for them.
86S9vTj.png

Honestly this is kind of a double win. I wanted to kill or capture some of these before. Wouldn't be surprised if it's some weird space faring thing too.
lNnORKV.png

Yeah... our electric and daze resists are going to laugh at this thing. This suit is beefy. And the gnome we put in it is a zombie with 100 hp.
uGsBgya.png

Ah, it kindly entered melee range. Time to try out the cobra staff on it. Our melee skill might suck in this thing, but the staff doesn't rely on melee skill, just having dault accuracy and power based on voodoo.
2bH6m6K.png

Nice, it seems pretty effective. Lots of stun buildup and we trashed it's freshness.
2NxZNNn.png

Damn, using it is fucking our own morale though. We do have 180 bravery but lets not die a silly death by going berserk and killing the naked gnome. Also, just noticed our frontal armour got shredded. Holy crap, what are these tentacles?
HLVeLtD.png

Fuck.
N7XGdce.png

It's fine! Totally fine. We can't get back inside this turn because I greedily picked our gun back up but it's fiiiiine.
n6VrdGv.png

We actually made it in with the help of the brave naked gnome.
lIo40mD.png

For some reason, she's not actualy suffering stun damage. Whatever, I'll take it.
s3VwpiK.png

Also not sure how applying stims to an exosuit works. No more questions!
bp4zzwz.png

We'd actually already taken a couple down, with a bit more caution, the rest easily fell too. Even captured two alive!
KiRcUn4.png

Here's our prize. We get the carcasses too, some gems... not bad!
ktilVUq.png

Alas, they could not survive out of the water.
bhXwEYB.png

You know, I can't even be bothered to do this one any more right now. It's a cakewalk, and I know I should just to farm titles and free money and shit... but there's no challenge left in it and I don't have any new toys to try out on it right now.
0tRcOj9.png

Muahaha. Wait, gals can't use it? Damn. I guess we could throw Belem Belle in there. Where's all the actual stats though?
TqUoYk2.png

Hmm, some nice variants. That vulcan would be nice... and electrifier sounds too cool to pass up.
mzjFoc2.png

Another fucking missile swarm headed to europe. Not this time, fucko.
kdN3sH1.png

Jeez, these took 13 missiles to shoot down. What the hell?
zTph4J4.png

Dang, i'ts speedy for a ground craft. Req. by gnome missions huh? I assume we'll see some weird solo gnome mission pop up then? Ground race variants or something?
Bd1LlKx.png

Ah yes, the standard issue peacekeeping bomber. Carry on then.
klN0lrP.png

Oh fuck right off! I'm building so many more base defenses when that reactor finishes. We need newer ones too. Some kind of plasma cannons or something.
DSX5VBw.png

Dang, was hoping this would lead to Syn techs. No dice.
dxy4xH0.png

That's... pretty underwhelming for this stage of the game? I mean, it's decent, kind of a mesh of barbarian and plate armour. But I was hoping for something more.
NNuMKQm.png

Well, this sounds like something more. Can't be that bad if it unlocked AFTER that thing.
onXvVWO.png

Ah, it was bio damage they were dealing. And bypassing armour too. Surprisingly dangerous for exosuit users.
UlMh5mD.png

And studying them unlocked a weapon? Sounds too cool to pass up.
O2T4P70.png

Got this out of a socializing! research. Nice windfall. Maybe I don't need to find one any more?
WPKlbXO.png

Sure enough, family ties is in the list now. We're definitely getting that. Also, the basilisk cannon and bio suit are among the most expensive projects right now. That suit really must be something. Can't wait!
:hype:
AbNRRhi.png

With the reactor finished, we have a place to do zombie revivals in. Seems we already have the required materials, whatever those are.
W6R4TEA.png

Ah, the stats for the mecha suit. Hmm... it's a bit underwhelming. I mean, that armour is great, it'll shrug a plasma caster right off. But beyond a certain point, raw armour isn't really enough any more. It'd still probably get minced by an exalt with a force lance for example, or just get the armour stripped off by enough plasma hits or something. I was hoping it'd give major TU and health buffs and it really doesn't. Checking the ingredients, it apparently uses car parts, so this is older tech than I realized. We should have had this thing a year ago, it'd have been good back then.
7eU1lPx.png

Also noticed we can shield a bloodhound too. It only uses topaz, which is the cheapest of the gems... but it's still a gem, and they're not that easy to acquire.
7X7kJZJ.png

Also, reminder that we discovered the tech for those magischen motors like, 2 years ago and still have yet to find any. What the fuck. Must be something like a reticulan tech we never got. I bet it's pivotal to why we can't use minilaunchers and shit. Or maybe academy engineering? Did we ever get that? I think we didn't... put that on the top priority list for captures.
H9frxsK.png

Well, no big profit margins here. Requires medical supplies and crack to make these too.
NcClr03.png

Ground races just became completely trivial for us. The new bike is like twice the speed of normal ground craft. And I haven't even accessorized it yet!

Free infamy, blessings, and 3 ubers! Time for more spying, I think.

Hooooly shiiiit. This is better than I'd hoped for. It's fucking regenerating power armour. 20% of current hp per turn is massive. It has massive resists to basically everything, decent armour values, untouchable to voodoo, good night vision, basically 0 stress.
HvosbnJ.png

It penalizes some stats (ok it heavily penalizes many stats) but it actually gives a massive health bonus, and the firing penalty is small enough we can easily plant a gal in this thing in the open with a heaby weapon and she can just mow everything down. Only real threats would be like... melee or having armour stripped and then killed with shotguns or something. But unlike with a tank or mecha suit, we can just bring her back inside to recover. No wounds at the ends of missions to patch. This is a total game changer. It requires a bunch of gems and power armour parts to make, but I think we can make 3, maybe even 4 of these suits if I bust open the treasury. We're ready to crush bases now. I just need to convert some people into weirdgals... Horrid soup is getting zombified, Tina is our newest weirdgal. Masochist slut is another. and feels tailor made for this. Lenneth could be either I think and 10 more base armour on these resists would be bonkers. Oh yeah, and with 160+ hp, we can give them bioplasma guns. Reactions are too shit to reaction fire with them properly, but we can stop enemies from reacting on our own turns at least.

Hurrah for disgusting power armor! Make sure the weirdgals have good bravery though, the suit zaps away their freshness pretty fast if they don't.

Or even if they do, really. Good thing we got lots of ciggies

There are no missions that require the highway star, it's either a mistake or TBD content(afaik it functions exactly like any other 1 size craft). I'd spoiler it, but I think "the game outright lies" is good to know.
Also, reminder that we discovered the tech for those magischen motors like, 2 years ago and still have yet to find any.
Magischen motors are rare. From the top off my head, you can get them from:
Marsec colonial forces, and plasma weapon disassembly.
There's probably more, but nothing reliable that I can remember.
Free infamy, blessings, and 3 ubers! Time for more spying, I think.
How many actual uber soldiers do you have? I honestly think you should be aiming for at least 2 dozen, so that if you ever get a good transport you can fill it.
This suit is pretty beastly if you like using ranged weapons I guess. But no running, -30 tu, -30 throwing basically means that's all it will ever do. Kinda dangerous to use since the reaction/tu penalty will make it really easy for enemies to shoot you. I assumed it was green codex exclusive, but apparently everyone except gray can get it.

It has massive resists to basically everything, decent armour values
its a neat angle on titles, there are armors with high resists but low armor, which are helped more by some bonus armor value
bio suit is one, its nice to be able to survive a nuke to the face, and regen back
should have been farming all the armor titles like traditional and monster hunter when it was easy...

We're ready to crush bases now
i dunno, its not that great... you'd rather want overwhelming firepower
