Alien Updates
Last month we added a new type of alien to the game, the Biter. These small insectoid aliens are more of a living weapon than a proper new species, as certain alien units can fire them towards enemy units - at which point they will charge towards nearby hostiles and try to bite them to death. Biters will expire within a few turns of spawning and have very low HP, but a pack of them can still pose a threat - particularly against units equipped with weapons that cost a lot of TU to fire (e.g. sniper rifles).

They pretty much directly stole this from X-COM: Apocalypse

Essentially, the player gets a certain amount of "operation points" each day that can be spent on one-off missions to provide benefits (e.g. lowering Panic in a region, gaining an immediate cash injection, etc) or can be used to recruit Supporters in Geoscape regions who provide passive bonuses (e.g. increased monthly funding, reduced research / engineering times, etc). If you recruit all the Supporters in a region, you also gain a powerful Region Bonus for your organisation.
the kind of system which earned europa universalis 4 all its hate.

That's why you used robots, or and SMGs.

The one difference is that these bastards will only maim and kill, while the brainsucker turns your man to their side. Curious about the weapon though. It will surely change the dynamics a bit.

Heretical, yes, but it had to be done out of curiosity. Alright. I need a favor from someone that owns Xenonauts 2 on Steam, and has an Xbox 360, or a PS4 controller. I made a controller layout for both controls, and it looks like it's the only one up for the game. I'm curious if someone can see my layout on the community tab, or if the system is broken, since there are none. Been experimenting a bit to be able to play on the sofa. Thanks in advance for any help.

Edit:
I should add that it works pretty damn good. It's slower than using keyboard & mouse, but that's a given.

I've never tried to use a community layout before, but I think this probably answers your question?

EDIT: I have a variety of controllers, including a wired XB official that I was too lazy to plug in. If you need me to use that to test, I can do it. PS4 controllers are downstairs and not something I've used on my PC. Not doing it unless it really makes a difference to you and you ask nicely.

If you press the tab with the tiny controller icon, and then pick community tab, do you see my creation there? Should look like this:

Edit:
It's a bit confusing overall, took me a while to be able to navigate that UI madness :P

The Xenomorph looking aliens decided to ambush me. Luckily, I survived, but it was close my sniper became an alien snack. Never seen that attack miss before.

They also couldn't suck you if you were prone. I think mechanically they actually needed to land on your head but while prone your head was offset from its normal location so they always missed.
