    Would you play it? Character classes could be warrior, nomad, assassin, rogue, mystic, and a couple more. The magic system could be based around summoning and binding djinn. Quests could be heavy in political and religious undertones. You could ride camels, in addition to horses...

    Actually, the Realms of Arkania series is the only one that comes close to the vision of the OP. Another one is KOTOR. ToEE is also there, but to a lesser extent.

    I usually prefer a combat right in the begining, though I love peaceful openings as well, as long as they are done right. Arena's opening was quite well done. Baldur's Gate's opening was slow and a boring. However, it did give you the oppertunity to test out builds and spells.

    Just checked out Xenoblade on youtube. Looks exactly like Final Fantasy XII, even though that is 5 years old. I suggest you play FF12, it seems to be a better game. Oh and Codexians have Wii? WTF? Why would you buy a Wii for?
