pumpkin...

Sorry, I am married.

a: i have more hours in xcom than you

Certainly not in the 1994 release or its 1995 sequel Terror from the Deep.

b: if you dont understand templates in c++ im not interested in talking to you

Try harder, UFO: Enemy Unknown is implemented in C and assembly, not C++:

x-com - 3d, raytracing, destruction

X-Com is not 3D, it utilizes isometric 2D graphics. Not sure what you mean by ray-tracing in this context, the game certainly did not use ray-tracing for rendering. Or maybe you are referring to collision detection for weapon projectiles?
xcom is 3d, yeah raytracing in a general sense

Another disappointment from 2000s: In Morrowind cities are part of the open world. In Oblivion cities are separate cells behind a loading screen and because of that limitation Levitation and Jump spells had to be removed.

Oblivion was massive decline on all fronts, even Skyrim had better worldbuilding, can't believe even on the Codex there are some people who are nostalgic for that turd

It's even included in Codex top 101 RPGs. Last game on the list, but still.

Same studio (probably not developers), 11 years apart:

Now I truly believe the whole technological degradation on how a early Roman Empire Legionnaire might be better equipped than a late Roman Empire Legionnaire.

The rise of stupidity/incompetence are real!
Skull and Bones has better visuals. Also the comparison of invisible walls is stupid since the game has no platforming.

Yeah, several people voted for it as a joke. It was enough to secure the last spot on the list :)

Not all genres suck today, only mainstream ones

Simulators only get better - aircraft sims currently peak with DCS and Falcon BMS plus latest Il-2 entries, good tank sims like Steel Beasts PRO, and G.H.PC looks promising... Ubisoft killed Silent Hunter series, but people say Uboat is really good...

Also lots of decent and good wargames lately

Flight sim community really is something else. And superbly autistic. Lol, shouldn't be surprised I guess that somebody jumped into tanks.

Not all Simulators. The last Tank simulator who didn't require a freaking USB dongle to play is more than 10 years old (granted, GHPC is shaping up nicely). They have been replaced with arena games like World of Tanks and War Thunder.

This would be SABOW but even with it one could see how Graviteam went from single vehicle simulators to unit command (evidenced by later Graviteam Tactics, good stuff too)

And while Steel Beasts purchase model is ridiculous one has to remember that it's not even a game in a classical sense, they develop it for actual training of tank crews
