Yesterday's session was very entertaining. The party made it back to Shais and decided to interrogate Khorban Thalcyon who is the king's brother. Khorban is wearing spreader bars that are attached to binders for his wrists and legs. He is attached to rings set in the floor and table in the interview room. Kiber and Horus stayed inside the observation room while Alan, Bartan, Zago, and Avin entered the interview room. Horus locked the observation room door behind them.
The group had cracked the security on the data pad that belonged to the Death Watch serial killer that proved that Alan didn't kill Khorban's son and daughter. Khorban musters up the force to use telekinesis that unlocks the binders holding him restrained. He launches himself at Alan. Alan pulls out his lightsaber and falls into a defensive posture. Khorban and Alan had a short conversation with Khorban screaming in pain to collapse onto the floor reeling in shock. Alan felt the force being cut from Khorban.
Jenijani jumps out of the vent above the table. She walks up to Khorban and says, "I forgive you." She heads to the door leading to the observation room and knocks. She is asked what she did and she tells the group that she cut Khorban off from the force.
Horus unlocks the door. Jenijani smiles at him. She tells him, "Hi Uncle Horus," then gives him a hug and skips out of the room into a hallway. Zago follows behind her to see how she's doing. He asks her if his camera droid can keep an eye on her. She agrees.
Zago heads back into the interview room. He takes a brain scan of Khorban to see if he's okay. He ask Alan if he could run a brain scan on him to compare. Alan agrees. The two of them head to the doctor's office.
Khorban is escorted back to his cell by Avin, Horus, Kiber, and Bartan. Bartan tells his brother that he believes the court will be lenient now that he's been rendered incapable of using the force.
When Kiber cracked the data pad earlier, the group finds out that Cora Phaas was a target of the serial killer. She also had a bounty placed on her by an unknown party. Avin and Horus discuss how to get the information from the bounty hunters guild on who ordered the hit. Horus is like naw I'm not going to be party to it.
Avin asks Kiber to hack into the bounty hunters guild who quickly agrees. During the hacking process, Kiber alerts the on duty system administrator of the intrusion and they run a series of counter hacks against each other. In the end, the sys admin has a critical failure that results in him getting kicked from the server. Kiber gets the data and logs out.
Horus gets a communication from the bounty hunter guild leader that informs him that one of Horus' associates had broke into the guild network and took data. As punishment the leader tells Horus that his next three jobs will have 75% of the payment to Horus deducted. Horus is furious and tells the leader no. In response, the leader tells Horus that Kiber has now got a 2.5 million credit bounty on his head and Horus is locked out of the contract. The contract is an open one where every bounty hunter in the galaxy will be gunning for him.
During Khorban's interrogation, he was asked about the Inquisitor and find out that she has a master that wasn't Vader or Palpatine. The name that came up from the cracked data pad was Bantu Fadah with his address being Theed, Naboo. The name Kiber got from the bounty hunters guild on the Cora Phaas contract was also Bantu Fada.
The session ended there.
