Arcane
So I decided to spent this saturday coming up with a model for the gameplay UI of my ARPG project.
It's just an example of how it could look like, but I would by grateful if you folks could indulge my idiocy and give your opinions on it.
1 - HP, Stamina, Concentration
The colored squares on the concentration meter are the "cost" of the 5 selected spells. Since the player hasn't enough Concentration to cast the green spell it's square appears outside the bar
2 - Current Faction
3 - Compass
4 - Day Informations (Temperature, Time of Day, Date)
Finding images for the time of day that fit that format is hard.
That "clock" doesn't tell you the exact time of day, and has 4 states (Dawn, Noon, Dusk, Midnight) which it keeps cycling through (even showing the current moon phase and other weather conditions). That's the plan for it.
The arrow tells the current ambient temperature. If it get to the red/blue part you start to feel their respectives effects. Raise Temperature resitence the red/blue part covers less of the bar (signifying you have a higher tolerance)
5 - Noise Meter
White Line - Enviroment Noise Level
Green Waves - Player's noise level
6 - Visibility Gem
As you can see it's a moon.
Full Moon representing maximum visibility and New Moon being completely obscured.
7 - Item Belt
8 - Equipped Weapons
The bars above the weapons are their condition.
Since the player has no 2nd right weapon, there no small box besides the claymore
9 - Selected Spells
While you can have many spells memorized you can only have 5 of them selected for use - because since it's an ARPG you need a keybind to cast a given spell, so having 5+ keybinds for spells would be really clumsy to work with.
You can then open a radial menu with all your memorised spells and quickly select them to each key binding.
10 - Body Zones Condition + Fatigue Meter
11 - Status Effects
12 - Crosshair
