Actually, some of our advertising does pay only for showing. A small part, but still. This is mentioned in the advertising sticky that nobody bothers to read yet everyone assumes they know all about. I also mentioned it a few dozen times over the years when the subject of advertising came up. So, again, even if you don't click on ads, blocking all of them here does result in diminished advertising revenue, which pays about 90% of the bills. If you want to get rid of all the ads, just donate the paltry sum that disables them for a year, seriously.

There is no point that I am missing, idiot. I know the facts and that is what I am arguing based on, the facts. It doesn't matter if you think so and so poster who always makes fun of TES and made a few LP's is better than so and so poster who likes DA:O and is open to new games. What matters is the facts that are being discussed in this thread and I am rightfully pointing out to spekkio and others who agreed with him that this plan would ultimately kill the Codex instead of creating the circle-jerk utopia that they dream of.

GD is the awesomest part of the Codex. The Strategic part is pretty redundant since we have actual wargame developers with their forums to discuss wargames on with fellow grognards and the RPG part is just another social subforum where we complain that there aren't cRPGs made for us any more. RPGD became pretty useless since EXPUNGED released EXPUNGED and since it turned out that Grimoire is an eternal joke and Thursday isn't coming any time soon.
Then we have General Gaming where we can complain about how FPS games aren't what they used to be.

I only block ads on xvideos, youporn, xhamster etc., none on the Codex, and as long as the ads with tips for increasing penis size or about which "3 magic questions" make every girl go crazy stay out I surely plan to keep it that way.
