BG2 is a gem of a game with an interesting story, exotic locales and a great art direction and atmosphere. It's without a doubt one of the best rpg's from its era.

Philosophy student, eh? What jobs require a philosophy degree anyway?

Jobs are much too trivial things to bother with. Real philosophers don't need jobs.
A true philosopher exists purely on a metaphysical level and taps to the transcendent for his sustenance.

... all the while it conducts humongous splendors within its ultra-ivory-tower-of-doom, which are bound to wreck severe havoc across all Earth cultures for several millennia to come. I'm mean just look at Descartes with a wee bit of distortion.

Because I have never seen you, can I be sure that you have ever been seen and aren't just some alt of kingcomrade made to distort my perceptions?

"I get the feeling that OC's in NWN and NWN2 are pretty much nothing more than large tech demos for their respective game engines, whereas, let's say KOTOR is not."

Yet, it's about equal with them. *shrug*

None. And it's precisely the point. You're not pointed in any direction. After finishing philosophy, one of my friends became a journalist for the biggest Polish newspaper, another is a tax specialist at PricewaterhouseCoopers, yet another is a sales director for a big company dealing with electronics. I'm doing my PhD but it didn't stop me from being a lead tester for a CDProjekt release or two in the meantime. There is no problem getting a job with a philosophy degree. At a properly conducted job interview no one will care what papers you brought in that suitcase of yours, how you think and approach problems is of more importance.

Of course, as is usually the case in life, you should learn as much as you can by yourself.
