Personally, Aliens would probably be in my top 10 films of all time (were I ever to make a list), and Obsidian have built up a good rep so far. I think we should hold off judgment until more info is released.

Alpha Protocol, however... well, from what I've seen, I am very skeptical.

Judging by how Obsidian devs are willing to discuss SoZ and somewhat Aliens with the Codex (read "those whiny crazy oldschool nerds") and not discuss Alpha Protocol you can tell for what audiences those games are meant.

In this case Obsidian really just means me and Nathaniel, since we post here. There are another 130 employees at the company.

As to the content of what I post, I have spent a great deal of time on NX2 and Aliens, and less so on AP. Therefore, I talk less about AP because I know less about it.

AP is oriented more towards action, but the story and dialog are still Chris Avellone. Matt McClean has done a bang-up job implementing an RPG system that is fun and actually has meaning in an RPG world.

The game isn't finished though, and we have miles to go before we sleep.

Huh? Wasn't Mitsoda the lead writer?

According to EDGE magazine preview, Brian Mitsoda is no longer working on AP with Obsidian. I don't know if he left Obsidian or moved to a new project for Obsidian.
