I was lying. Still happens. But it's non-deterministic.. I can't consistently reproduce it.. but sometimes I get 2 or 3 randomly pushed into my download queue.

Try cleaning the cache (second option in clear data dialog).

I did this just now:

Completely flushed my cache in my browser, revisited the website, hit the forum link from the main page..
(Not the Xenforo menu link, the geocities looking link)
Generated a .htm file.

I'm also a fucking liar, I got a .htm file when hitting the about page too.

It's annoying to test because it doesn't happen consistently.

Didn't work..

just use NoScript, block everything, then successively unblock everything until the htm-files appear again and you know what the culprit is (if you want to know)


this is how it looks for me, haven't seen any of those pesky htm-files in months
