You don't need additional stimulants in order to get a high while playing UnderRail.Maybe I'm misremembering then? Don't judge me for the amount of weed I smoke while playing this game!

When is this supposed to be released? I'm allergic to early access too. I like to play muh games in their complete form, and make the most out of the first, pristine experience.
Does the classic xp system need a boost? Having done the same quests and optional content with both systems in this version, I was almost level 6 when I started scavenging the Junkyard for the circuit board using classic xp scheme, but I had already gotten above level 7 when using the oddity system at the same point. And that was with killing all enemies on the way, to maximize xp gain in classic.
According to Styg, there are two major areas left to be released. Given that it is about ~2 months or so between big updates, maybe 6 months?
Neither had pick-pocketing, both had both types of lockpicking. If anything though, I opened slightly more containers and did one more minor quest with the classic-xp char, since I rushed some of it with the new guy guy.Just to double check, did you play the same character? The differences in different types of characters can have a dramatic effect on the early availability of particular oddities. A thieving, lock-picking, pick-pocketing master will gain certain oddities much sooner than e.g. a psionic powerhouse with crafting skills. I personally haven't played the XP system for at least a year - certainly not after the recent XP change - so you could be right.
bitching about people not wanting to put significant amounts of time into into a mostly story driven early access game that is still missing content and riddled with bugs and typos? the gameplay is cool, but people not wanting to play it yet are prefectly justified.Look at these Codexian popamolers from my Steam friends list.

mostly story driven
riddled with bugs
yes, it is. but there are bugs, and the rock bug is pretty sgnificant to gameplay, considering how much tnt a charge uses up to craft, and that charges and their components are fairly rare, and the tnt is better used for other things."Riddled with bugs" is an exaggerration
significant progress and access to areas and important equipment like charges being tiered via story events means the game is story-driven. the story events themselves offering some freedon in the ways you resolve them via different gameplay options, or your personal definition differing, doesn't change it.and my definition of story-driven does not align with yours SuicideBunny.

There are only two other cRPGs on this Earth that I played for 200+ hours and still wanted to play more of. They were released in 1997 and 1998, respectively.
