When I want to relax after a hard day corpwhoring, I pick something easy like Dodonpachi Daifukkatsu Black Label.

Or maybe some Darkwood, if I am really tired.

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
The term as its thrown around on Reddit and in the mainstream these days tends to refer to feminine / casual garbage like Stardew Valley or w/e though.
Same meaning as "cozy fantasy", a new subgenre of fantasy that's all about retired adventurers building up cozy shops and stuff like that. "Cozy games" as a genre have similar themes.

I'm doing my first Icewind Dale playthrough in a couple of years. Usually do so this time of year. Tis the season.

First big snow of the year outside right now. Toasty inside. Fire is going.

Cats are curled up nearby. Mood-altering substances have been imbibed.

Wrapped in a blanket in the big comfy chair. Lights are low. Hot cocoa in hand.

Pretty fucking cozy right now.

I assume none of these are from the normal game, right? I didn't play Skyrim that much so I can't tell

Few days ago I posted in the other thread what would pretty much be my picks, lots of old city builders/management games. I mentioned Caesar 3 because that's the one I play the most these days (Augustus mod is great) but I grew up with Caesar 2 and that game still has a very special place in my heart

Also lots of 90's point and click adventure games too. Recently I beat Simon the Sorcerer 2 for the first time and had an amazing time. Gorgeous and very comfy game.

Gandalf What are YOUR coziest games??
I've never thought about it. This thread was inspired by someone elses comment about the Legends of Amberand II that stated that game is cozy.
When I think of the coziest games, my imagination is showing me those with warm fireplace, the medieval taverns and rich chambers of the royals and nobles, but also those titles that present a certain feeling, look and atmoshpere, those which are overall pleasant for me to experience. So, this opens up a rather vast sea of coziness.

Some of my types overlap with what was already mentioned in the thread. Here are two more examples:

I love The Guild, in my opinion both sequels failed at replicating its charm. Really superb OST too.
