Expecting it to be worthless, so my approach will be: wait and read the few constructive opinions that'll be posted here that aren't "hurrrrrk dongs codex is fukkin shit for playin this faggetry fuk i hate the codex" or "horf durr banal shit boring", give it a torrent if the consensus is that the combat is remotely entertaining or the lore/exploration is well-done and ignore it otherwise.

I'm not one to jump on the shit/banal/boring train but there's really nothing I've seen in the previews or Q&A's from Bethesda that leads me to believe it is anything other than a prettier version of Oblivion. The say the dungeons will be better and not the generic crap they were in Oblivion but level-scaling (yes even the Fallout 3/NV level scaling ruins the game) still obsoletes that. So maybe you won't be able to kill a deathclaw... er... dragon at level one but chances are that's the only enemy that will prove difficult.

Yeah another Bethesda game where you have to run around in your underpants brandishing an iron sword to try and remotely squeeze out any level of challenge, after your character levels up and becomes insanely overpowered.

Planning on reading the massive wave of reviewer derp that other codexers will locate shortly after release.

Will probably pirate after the first few patches, since I do enjoy hiking sims with RPG elements and bethesda's idea of QA is "does it compile?".

If it manages to be substantially better than Oblivion (not exactly a high hurdlel) I might eventually buy it once its less than $10.
