Strong, independent woman. Even if she can't just buy her own damn sex toys.

...yeah, is this a bad translation, or did she really just ask a group of strange men who'd just leeringly invited her out to some sort of communal date to travel across the entire galaxy in order to bring her back a rampant rabbit? Because that's something truly wonderful, right there.

Definite :incline: of quests but I'm not convinced that it isn't somehow related to the mainquest. Btw red sardines = red herring?

A definite :incline: there. Never stand between a woman and her vibrator. In other words, go fetch one NOW! Fuck the main quest.

Didn't we discover that it's an Austrian game? That explains a lot more.

This and the following updates will only cover the correct way of doing things, not the way I did 'em on my first try. This game is so full of trial and error, it makes my head hurt.

12: Mothership Zeta

Another sidequest?

Previously on this LP: Danielle is looking for a vibrator, Erasmus fancies red sardines. Got it.

AtP9D.jpg

First, however, we'll do another (?) sidequest, the alien one. To solve it, we need a couple of items on Arboris, the green planet.
Here's the new trading table, by the way:

PMUj1.jpg

ARBORIS
~~~~~~~
As Arboris is favourably placed with respect to the sun, its climate is ideal for a thriving vegetation. The entire surface is covered by a thick jungle.
Obviously, wood is available in abundance, so the buildings are made of this. Most of the other planets, however, do not have large resources of this material, and as a result the government has issued a firm ban on exports of wood. No one is permitted to trade in it on Arboris, as it is clear that it is and important material, and that its importance can only grow in the future.
Like Lapis, Arboris is rich in mineral resources of all kinds. This makes these raw materials the main export.
Although the planet is only at an average technical level, a trade in technically sophisticated articles is also flourishing.
As the climate is relatively pleasant and criminal activities have been kept within limits, the planet is a popular holiday destination.
PQPLZ.jpg
The Arboris trader is apparently an Austrian beauty. :P
tbEzm.jpg
And we beam down to Sando, the first Arboris town.
hU628.jpg
A popular holiday destination indeed. :roll:
KkjCE.jpg
So rural and idyllic.
Say hi to Sepp Bimpf.
Wow, these aliens actually look different from each other!
GJmcU.jpg
A lot of computers (?) in here, but Mrowaksu's Manipulate computer doesn't seem to work on them.
So, you know what X-109-E is?
rD66R.jpg
It's a flower essence! :P
I6EvE.jpg
So we hand the flower pot to the aliens -- and receive a lot of exp!
J1hJ3.jpg
We are hard! :o 21572 more points to become dynamic.
I think we're level 12 now, but I'm not really sure.
Giving a flower pot to some aliens to create fuel for their engine? Fuck. This is officially an adventure game.
Morkar Left
The alien part was very tongue in cheek and a flower as fuel amused me :lol: There are really sidequests in the game? wow...
That the alien all look different seems to suggest that there was a lot more of content planned I suppose.
What's that about the storage room you can use? Is it for equipment or trade goods? And are the alien gone now or can you still visit them?
Just for equipment, from what I've gathered. And now that the aliens are gone, you can't use it anymore. I didn't feel the need for using it myself in any case, so no big loss.
13: Kill Them All and Blow It All Up
In which the game suddenly ends.
Alright, dear readers, so previously on this LP we dealt with the aliens by giving them a flower pot. We need two things now: a vibrator and a red sardine. And I wonder if you still remember this guy from update #5:
update #5 said:
What are you doing?
8001.jpg
If you need something special, just tell me.
Something... special? :roll:
7973.jpg
What can you get?
8001.jpg
Krueger will fetch you anything you need!
So Krueger told us he could get us anything we needed earlier, but there was no option to ask him for something specific. Let's see if he can get us a vibrator or a sardine perchance?
dZFWf.jpg
Krueger's on Lapis, so off to Lapis we fly.
AzmXD.jpg
Sup Krueger. No vibrator option, alas.
7973.jpg
Can you get a red sardine for us?
CK8j5.jpg
Got one with you? :roll:
7973.jpg
Here are your $100.
VoU5S.jpg
Dropping a fish on the ground? So unhygienic.
tA4uy.jpg
Just look at that happy sardine! :P
tvcnP.jpg
Grotley levels up. He's now level 13 = "dynamic", needing 36239 more exp points to reach level 14 = "become energetic".
WzT73.jpg
Alright, let's head to Lapis 17 and hand the red sardine over to Erasmus.
meh8e.jpg
Hmm, just a moment...
B8IBu.jpg
:thumbsup:
dLqQE.jpg
Now we can finally chat with Erasmus.
7973.jpg
Max Schimmel told us, you are the right man.
93I43.jpg
A hidden basis? :roll: A Hilbert basis, maybe?
But I do not exactly know where.
No wonder.
I think that they will start an attack very soon!
:o
Whatever.
7973.jpg
Where is our kidnapped contact?
507oj.jpg
7973.jpg
Where is Dymy?
3ngNQ.jpg
Unfortunately, Erasmus doesn't tell us the exact coordinates of Dymy, so it takes me a while to find it.
PSUWl.jpg
Hell yeah, here it is.
EmHVj.jpg
And so we're in Dymy. Let's find the contact now.
8vx8H.jpg
Samuel Brown is the local shopkeeper.
7973.jpg
What are the latest news?
87Opr.jpg
Fair enough.
7973.jpg
What can you offer?
jxB2s.jpg
A vibrator!
:yeah:
We buy one.
n1DTP.jpg
:roll:
l7b6a.jpg
And here is the entrance to the prison. We level up as we approach it, so the kidnapped contact must be held in there.
The guard isn't interested in talking to us, so let's try doing it the hard way!
Ouya3.jpg
Grotley kills him with the Plasma thrower, and now we can enter the prison.
7tAfZ.jpg
A lot more guards inside, but it doesn't take us long to discover that the Plasma Thrower can shoot through walls. :smug:
I wonder if that's a bug/exploit or what?
TX8Ih.jpg
Having slain all the guards, we pick up a key to the cells.
o7RN4.jpg
A normal key.
SbT7e.jpg
We unlock the cell door -- but the prisoner starts attacking us! :o
It looks like we accidentally hit him with our awesome through-the-walls-hitting Plasma thrower when we were attacking the guards earlier. :lol:
Oh well, reload and try again -- this time with the Sonic Absorber on, which prevents guards from spawning spawning spawning, and without the Plasma thrower.
sx5gA.jpg
Cool, this time everything goes well. The contact is freed, and he isn't hostile.
7973.jpg
You are free now.
Thank you for your help.
7973.jpg
What do you know about the secret service?
We have not much time, because the secret service is starting an attack against our headquarter on Lapis.
An attack! :o
9LJpp.jpg
This machine is hiding their fleet!
And our next objective is set: destroying the cloaking device in the secret mine on Lapis.
BMHwU.jpg
Good to know.
Our characters level up again!
kwMKK.jpg
Here we go...
HvTMw.jpg
No batteries!?
:decline:
We're carrying a battery we got on Sky Boulevard with us. Why not give it to Danielle?
knwbc.jpg
:lol:
I haven't been able to find any way to recharge the battery, so I guess this sidequest will have to stand incomplete.
hY3Bv.jpg
And then we locate the Lapis secret mine. Let's beam down there.
ImJLa.jpg
It's pitch black. You're likely to be eaten by a grue.
SoxzG.jpg
We turn on the Infrared device.
w7ibL.jpg
This mine has a SHITLOAD of enemy soldiers, but we easily shoot them through walls with the Plasma thrower. :smug:
TT759.jpg
Die, bastards!!
ywluq.jpg
FFS we can't shoot those through the wall, so we do it the straightforward way
Grotley levels up again!
As soon as we're done with the cloaking device(s), General Noth, the main villain, appears!
c2if9.jpg
And instantly beams up. Har har har.
ZI9EH.jpg
We beam up, too. Our next mission is to blow up Sky Boulevard! We already have a Bomb we bought earlier, let's hope that'll suffice.
5bRxR.jpg
So off to Sky Boulevard we fly!
Rl6Bx.jpg
Oops, the Federation fleet's attacking us.
N45Oo.jpg
At first I screw this battle up. :(
Lgn3G.jpg
But then I use the Cloaking device to my advantage -- and the battle is won!
P4PHJ.jpg
Well, almost. The enemies come in two waves, actually.
TV1hB.jpg
This ship looks like trouble!
But it can't see us with the cloaking device on. :roll:
L23XN.jpg
And win the battle we do. :salute:
So here we are, shooting enemy soldiers through the walls on Sky Boulevard.
0hmTD.jpg
Let's set this baby right here, in the centre of the computer room.
u5cS7.jpg
The bomb is activated, and a timer appears!
W0PbA.jpg
Unfortunately, our beamer is blocked everywhere but at the spawn point, so we must hurry back to it.
And the Sky Boulevard explodes!
I haven't been able to find any way to recharge the battery, so I guess this sidequest will have to stand incomplete.
Quiet good LP.
So were any of the psionic, or any other skills besides set trap ever useful?
Well, I used Brain Blast on a prison guard once and Paralyze opponent a couple of times. Disarm opponent never worked for some reason, and the other skills were totally useless, too. The Biochemist skills, like Use substance, turned out to be entirely worthless as well. It's probably a matter of the game having been rushed and a lot of content cut, but as it stands, the game is a totally lost opportunity. A RPG that failed, lol.
So, anyone still interested in seeing the sequel LPed? It's in German, mind you. :roll:
As long as you provide a complete translation, I'm fine with it.
