Yeah, he's the legendary demon-fighting general. The series is called Rance, and I'm going to check out the latest game in it. Also, Japan in that world is called "JAPAN".

If I remember correctly there was never an english version... had the jap version but didn't play it much.

Every once in awhile, usually during summer, boredom leads an individual on a search for time consuming entertainment. Sometimes you end up with something you didn't really expect. Like maybe you ask your friend for a game recommendation, and they tell you about this conquest style game that mixes in elements of SRPGs and Civilization games. It just so happens you got really addicted to Civilization 4 for awhile, and this game sounds pretty damn good. But then, your friend just so happens to forget to mention a certain thing about this game.

And that certain thing happens to be that it has pictures of japanese cartoon characters having sex.

You are not happy, but it's too late. The game is there, you want to play it. You do so, and you get hooked. And then you realize you're hooked on a porn game.

I can't even see the turn based part on the stupid demo vid. All they gave was a lame ass intro.

....i give up on dating games really, X-Change was funny the first time but as newer ones came out, it's just a bunch of words vomitted on screen for 30-45 minutes before you make an actualy dialogue choices in game. I torrented one recently that had zero choices to make over an hour played. I decided to delete it right away.
