The NUVIE page has been updated with a bit on the progress of the Ultima VI engine remake for modern operating systems. Here's a list of the work done over the last month:

  • Added a GUI system to Nuvie. This system will eventually handle config changes along with a new multiple save game manager. (screenshot)
  • Party View (screenshot)
  • Party Member Display (screenshot)
  • A lot of work has been done on the inventory list. It is now possible to open containers. Stackable objects now display their quantity. (screenshot)
  • The player doll now displays readied items.
  • Added Drag and Drop support. You can now drag items from your inventory to the mapwindow or ready objects by dragging to the player doll widget. Objects can be placed into containers in the inventory or on the map.
  • Work has started on a timer system to facilitate events in game time or real-world time.
  • The party can now enter Dungeons. Party members walk into the dungeon mouth.

It just looks so tiny there in that window, doesn't it?
