Of course, a true RPG is more than just a good story and plenty of dialogue choices. RPGs mean combat, and lots of it. KotOR's combat system initially looks like it's a third-person real-time system similar to an action game. A few minutes of play, however, reveals that the familiar behind-the-scenes dice rolling is still going on. Indeed, old-school RPG fans who enjoyed the Baldur's Gate or Icewind Dale series will find that the system is almost exactly the same order-while-paused Wizards of the Coast/Dungeons & Dragons/d20 system they're familiar with (albeit from a 3D third-person perspective).
Except the fact you can't manually move your party members where you need them to be at the same time.
