<a target=_blank href=http://www.rpgvault.net>RPGVault has posted another peek of the week at <a target=_blank href=http://www.larian.com>Larian's <a target=_blank href=http://www.beyond-divinity.com>Beyond Divinity (formerly known as Riftrunner). This time Larian's level designer, Alex Van Ooteghem tells us how he made an imp village.

 • Another tricky part was the fact that these houses don't use the same system as, for example, the buildings from Aleroth in Divine Divinity. Those were made out of wall sets combined with Marian's beautiful roofs. This time, the entire house had to be pre-rendered and cut into different parts. Some of these parts were floor tiles. Other parts were objects. Everything had to fit exactly... which didn't always work perfectly. Fré (story designer) was responsible to make them fit into the game. I think he still wakes up sweating because he had another bad dream about them...
Let's hope they won't give us nightmares...
