More publishers and developers disappear: The amount of big time publishers in the industry continue to disappear with 3DO, Simon and Schuster Interactive, Rage and more now gone and developers like Black Isle, Digitalo, and many more closing their doors. It doesn’t look any better for 2004 with publishers like Acclaim, Interplay and others in deep financial trouble.​

At this point, I don't think losing Interplay would be much of a loss.
