Tags: Fable: The Lost ChaptersGameSpy has posted a preview about Fable: the Lost Chapters based on the whole GenCon experience or something. I'm not sure why you have to travel to Germany to check out this game if you've got an X-Box, but I try not to second guess the wisdom of GameSpy. Anyway, getting fat:
If you haven't had a chance to play the Xbox version of Fable, the game is a fairly open-ended RPG that lets you take your hero though his entire life -- from a young boy to an old, wizened veteran adventurer in the course of an epic tale of love, family loss, betrayal, and revenge. The kicker is that the way you choose to live your life is literally reflected on the body of your character. Choose to live as a melee fighter and your character will build up an incredible collection of battle scars from all that close combat. Eat too much and your character gets fat; wear the wrong clothes or get the wrong haircut and watch your hero's sex appeal tumble. Most interesting, your character will be faced with a series of ethical decisions throughout his adventure that will have a dramatic impact on the way he looks. Choose the path of good, and his hair and skin will get lighter, until he's are eventually bathed in his own heavenly light and sports a faint halo. Go the other way, though, and his skin gets darker, his hair begins to rise up in points, and he'll eventually stalk around the landscape trailing his own cloud of flies.Evil can't bathe?
