Kithana paid for her reckless quest for knowledge when the other vampiric assassination house, the Order of Vladd, found out about Kithana's transgressions with the dark arts. They concocted a plot to kill her teacher, framing the Order of Uhlrik for his death. This was efficiently manipulated by the politically saavy Vladd leaders into a full-blown conflagration between the Orders, eventually leading to a full-blown Vampiric Civil War, and leaving the Order of Uhlrik mostly destroyed or driven into hiding.​
