PreGaming has posted a review of Arx Fatalis, giving it an 8/10. Here's 1/9th of the review:

Arx Fatalis has graphics on par with any new first person shooter out there. Character models are rendered in detail and the dark caves and tunnels of the underground world are suitably creepy, especially in flickering firelight. Spellcasting is well done as well; the runes drawn in the air glow and shimmer convincingly as they are traced. The sound design is also decent, with realistic drips and echoes one would expect in a cave. Goblins are particularly amusing, with shouts of ?you fight like girl goblin? when they hit you. The voice acting is generally solid, although the main character?s voice sometimes got annoying during the in game cut scenes.

Nothing like in-game cutscenes instead of dialogue!
