Darth Cannoli and theSavant confirmed for really bad at this game

That's beginner advices, dude.

As Darth Canoli said, it were beginner advices. Reading comprehension and inflated ego a lot in this thread...

when i was a wiz8 beginner, i took the wrong turn out of the monastery and almost killed the hogar guarding the way to the wilderness by the umpani base

DAS RITE
You could just get lucky that time. Monsters generate with varying hp pools, don't they? Flamestryke's site says hogars can have 337-517 total hp, which is a significant range (though I don't know if level is also taken into account when deciding how many hit points a creature will receive). Also the hogar could be getting bad attack rolls. Not that your isolated case can say anything on how the game will be difficult for novice players on average anyway.

Arnika Road claims another victim.

How many times do I have to say it wasn't the game? This is natural for me. Play RPGs hardcore for a few months straight, burn out and do another hobby for a few months, then come back to gaming. I can't be the only person that operates this way...

I'll do similar Fluent . Though I usually switch from one genre to another, like Dishonored/Deus Ex sim-type to Dungeon Crawler to isometric RPG, etc. I just played Dishonored 2 and now I'm starting Risen 3. I think it's not unusual to switch it up.

I switch entire hobbies. Like I said I'll be making music again and taking a break from gaming for awhile. I'll be back.

I'll be around, just posting about music probably, and it will be RPG-related as I'll be working on soundtrack music. Maybe some game dev here likes my work and wants my music for their game or something, that would be cool. Just have to learn all the new and modern equipment I'll be getting...

I always play this game up to rat village in the trees, clear the branches, kill some badass bull looking monster on that map and then I think the story takes you back through Arnika road, maybe?, and I'm ambushed by level scaled plants and bees and that's when I go "fuck it! I can't take this shit no more" and quit.

Such a shame too, the character system is divine.

Have the same problem with System Shock 2. Eventually the respawn rate just drives me insane and I quit.

I should try this game again with all the speed mods, maybe I can finish it this time.

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
Arnika Road claims another victim.

I just got past Arnika Road.

THEN I quit. :smug:

Arnika road sucks if you have no aoe damage. My party had 2 fighters + a psion with psionic fire/sleep, it was pretty manageable. Didn't run into much resistance though, maybe 5 enemy groups in total.

I'm done with Wiz 8 bros. It's a bit too much for me. Combat is kind of tedious and there's too much of it. I'm going to find something different to play, or maybe take a break from gaming for awhile. Not sure what else is really catching my interest. I desire an old-school, nerdy and hardcore game but not one that is painful to play. Any suggestions for what I should play next? Almost thinking Dragon Age Origins, which at least has some fun combat, right? I need something a little speedier and engaging. Sorry to break the news so suddenly, but Wiz 8 and I must go our separate ways. It's been real...

GTA V.

When do you go on a posting hiatus?

Why? Are you afraid I'm going to eat your ass again on RPGWatch and leave you scrambling and editing posts? I think you've taken too much of those dick and ball-shrinking steroids again, ego boy.
