Ok, I found this:

How is that even supposed to work? It looks to me like a square grid except placed diagonally with tiny squares at corners.. What do those small squares provide? Can a unit stand on one? How would the movement costs or distance calculations work? It doesn't even provide the simplicity of a hexagonal grid.

Alternatively, they represent the movement penalty for diagonal movement!

Would it help if I pointed out my lack of seriousness in this proposal?
