This project got put on ice after Bethesda told them they weren't allowed to use the original voice acting assets.

The odd thing is why would you even bother to ask, unless you plan to sell it? It's just a massive fan mod. So long as you're not making profit, ignore Bethesda and create your pet project.

Imagine going through the enormous hassle of recreating a huge open world game in the same (but marginally updated) engine just to have a couple of new graphical features on top. This is peak autism.

I'd suggest you all watch zharic zhakarons video on fallout 76, and a few others. All of Fo76 was rushed, and likely pushed off to the new bethesda austin branch, which was initially an mmo dev studio that zenimax/bethesda bought out. A detail many modders have noticed is that the map of Fo76 has a lot of beginner modder mistakes, like missing meshes, textures and other things, such as floating objects, and significant amounts of clipping issues or hovering land textures, indicating it was rushed to completion, the map anyway, and then likely pushed off to bethesda austin, who had no previous experience with the creation engine and were likely told to make it work within a year, similar to obsidian with New Vegas. The difference is that they couldn't manage this effectively in time. Also, as to Todds interview about all of bethesda being in on this, and their grandest work, remember this is the little lies man, the man who said oblivion had 200 endings, and other fabrications. The man lies with every second word. He was there to sell the product, not to be honest.

Whatever those who bought FO76 after the debacle Fallout 4 was deserve to be scammed by Comrade Howard Todds; its even funny how NPCs there moan and whine about lack of NPCs in game and that trick with sending canvas bags to Jew Tube big channels hosts while sending nylon ones to the rest of cattle. Well Done Comrade Todds Well done what Huzpah what a head for gesheft.

:hero:

Besides :obviously: Comrades have Atom RPG to play with. :incline:

That was for Fallout 3 actually, as far as i remember. But yeah, the guy is one of the worst liars in the gaming industry and it's really hilarious that a lot of people still eat up what he says.

Your ignore list.
Creation Engine is 7 years old, who in their right mind would want to use that piece of shit? There's even a conspiracy theory that Todd Howard purposefully made FO76 shit to force publishers to fund a new engine.
They will probably use some ID engine spin-off with their current scripting engine wrapped around it, Bethesda style. It will be like a turd strudel.

They should forego with the shading based day night cycle it will look crap anyway. Give megatexture a go with time of day updated somehow in non uniform way (smoother increments dusk /dawn). Not to mention it would look better youd have 20x as much enemies on screen - no brainer until you realize pathfinding isnt their strong suit either.

They probably want to host the mod on respectabru sites, so it's simpler to check beforehand instead of uploading it and immediately getting hit with an infringerino notice and have the mod taken down.

They chose to culminate the pre-alpha trailer with meeting Three-Dog.

It's like they want to draw attention AWAY from their project.

Creation Engine is 7 years old,

That is if you really believe that the Creation Engine is some kind of new engine and not mostly based on Gamebryo. Because then it would be much older than 7 years.

True, but FO3 is made on Gamebryo. I just can't believe somebody could be dumb enough to think this is something worth doing...
