Agreed 100%. Every single one of the developer responses are just subtle variations of the same message and do nothing to address what the reviewers said. Why hire a PR guy at all when a spambot could be programmed to do the same thing for free?

So all those developer responses from the new PR guy are actually paying off?

More likely the initial wave of outrage is fading.

Also sales are pretty flat and there were only 80 reviews in the last 30 days... and it only increased from 67% to 70% so the champagne is probably still on hold. Still, it'll be interesting to see the trend in 6 months or so when (presumably) the new purchasers will be those who had less of an idea of the original game and weren't particularly hyped for this release.

Well... How many people would you expect to play a 2 year of game as compared to this new release? http://steamcharts.com/cmp/272270,291650

Hold onto it. Maybe AVGN will do a review of it years from now and the price of physical versions on the collector's market will skyrocket.

By a score of 13 [IMG] to 11 [IMG] , I shall go the end of my days without ever having played Numenera.
Thanks to everyone who voted either [IMG] or [IMG] , and an extra special thanks to Dreed for the [IMG] rating.

Fargo is probably begging Feargus for help right now; but Feargus is just laughing.

Also happens with almost every game that's not fundamentally broken or received extremely bad PR

Feargus should buy out InXile and convert it into an Obsidian subsidiary.

It also could have value as a learning tool for up and coming RPG developers by showing them how NOT to make their games.

Beyond that, its okay if you treat it as more of a novella than a game, but even then $45 is too much for a novella. Wait for a massive discount, and hopefully by then you can play it with Oom and the other cut content they're bringing back, and maybe that will make things better? Maybe?
