  • Now it's time for Shadowrun for MD, which is more faithful for the rules and doesn't have infinite bullets kek
Started playing Shadowrun for SNES at 8 PM. It's 3:20 AM now and I just finished the game. Man, sometimes you just forget you have important things to do, including sleep. Anyway, amazing game.
How did you get hired at Atari?
Chris Crawford: [...] My wife grabbed a telephone book in anger and flipped the yellow pages open to "computer games." The first listing was "Atari." We called their personnel office the next morning, got an interview, and I was hired.
Back then it was literally "just walk into the company and you get the job".
For a linux user, how good are the Icewind Dale/Planescape Enhanced Edition? I don't think they released ID 2 EE, though. I don't know if the originals would just work on linux given that you need a lot of shit to fix bugs kek

Ah yes, probably been 20 years since I last played it.

Looking at it again, Red's room is the "Men live like this and don't see an issue" meme

A computer. Red has a computer at the top of his room, the image above lacks it.
Can't stop playing Blood Omen. The game keeps getting better and better, sadly, I'm almost at the end.
15 out of 100 games already finished. Can't wait until life hits me and I have to stop playing games.

15 games. The list of 100 games I planned to finish this year. All of them last played 10 or more years ago.
The wind carried screams from the west. I could not help but smile, someone else in this world was suffering more than I.
Games aren't hard to make if you don't have to go through 15 levels of approval from your higher ups for basic feature implementation.

Even if you don't, they are still hard to make. Where do people get the idea being a dev is an easy job to do?

Man, after more than 10 years without playing RE 1, I gave it try again and I got the bad ending (Barry died) because I forgot so many things, including to wait for him to bring another rope. Still an amazing game. Now I have to finish it playing as Chris and perhaps replay with Jill and saving Barry.

Yeah, I'm playing games I have not played for more than a decade, turned out most of them are PS1 games. So I'll be replaying the whole RE trilogy.

Love the wallpaper and lamps in the room above the west wing saveroom.
    Also, what an epic soundtrack.

Yeah, I played the Director's Cut version because the Dual Shock version changed the OST.
That moment when you realize there will be no video game industry crash because the core gaming audience is perfectly fine with playing the same games with different stories over and over again.

Don't you mean "same game with same story"?

The way to crash the gaming industry is to get rid of IP (or, in other words, legalize piracy). The result would be that the quality of games would vastly increase, but the quantity would vastly decrease.

Zlaja I have not played any of them so I don't know if the story is the same too. But gameplay videos show that it's the same gameplay.

I recently realized that if you spend a lot of time alone you are usually spending time with higher Beings in your imagination or whatever and thus you are actually learning from the highest. Who can teach better than beings outside of time with all the knowledge of all of existence. Better than any university maybe.
