  1. Operation Flashpoint 2

I'm pretty sure that this thread is for OFP2, not let's justify skyway's posts and stroke his e-penis whenever yet another game is shown to be casual crap, as skyway (not to mention about a thousands other people) had predicted.
  2. Game developer 'commandments'

... What's the point of that?
  3. Why don't crpg's sell well in the mainstream?

I'd say that the problem lies partially in marketing actually. I think that a big motivation for a lot of buying on the part of the mainstream is marketing. If a game is marketed well enough it's going to sell very well regardless of content. However I think that the mainstream isn't going to...
  4. Let Me Trainwreck Final Fantasy VII For You! (Completed!)

Oh man, reading fan made plot guides of most games are a fucking riot. Haven't looked at any for FF7, but if they're as good as some of the others I might just have to take a look.
  5. Game developer 'commandments'

Any game that doesn't have regenerative health is already sounding awesome in my book.
  6. Game News Obsidian can't deliver, so Aliens RPG goes elsewhere?

Clearly we're doing something wrong here.
  7. Let Me Trainwreck Final Fantasy VII For You! (Completed!)

How could this shit make someone cry? Seriously, do gamers just have some sort of attraction to completely shallow characters who lack even the smallest semblance of death (Fun Fact: Most gamers also lack depth)? Is it the fact that it was a nice shiny cutscene (Probably)? Do gamers just get...
  8. Another shitty stealth game reviewed by Yahtzee

Steampunk? Fuck yeah, I'm getting this. I love steampunk.
  9. Butthurt PS3 fanbois are butthurt

Did you pick up Battle Fantasia? And if so is it worth it? It's an Arc Systems game so that's a plus but I've heard mixed reactions.
  10. Another shitty stealth game reviewed by Yahtzee

Metal Gear is hurt really badly by it's terrible controls, both in terms of movement and shooting. I haven't tried Splinter Cell.
  11. Another shitty stealth game reviewed by Yahtzee

Which one should I get, the first or second? It sounds like the third isn't worth it.
  12. Another shitty stealth game reviewed by Yahtzee

Is the game that bad? I've been planning on getting it for a while. I've heard good things.
  13. What's your guilty gaming pleasure?

Fire Emblem. One of a few jRPG's that I enjoy. The others are Front Mission and Final Fantasy Tactics (the first one, none of that advance shit, and not the PSP port).
  14. Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena

The vents could be kind of boring but I liked a lot of the areas where there was minimal combat and you were just trying to escape. The places where it was melee oriented were great too, although I had a lot more difficulty than I should have my first time through since I didn't have a very good...
  15. Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena

Well the movie sucked (Chronicles of Riddick I mean, Pitch Black was cool) but the game itself was great. Besides, it isn't just the movie in game form, it's a prequel to Pitch Black.
