  1. Gothic Chronicles Of Myrtana: Archolos mod for Gothic 2

IMO this game feels like it could have been made 20 years ago and 100% captures the Gothic magic. Don't listen to the preening faglords one-upping each other with negativity ITT; it's the most fun I've had playing a game in years. If you enjoy Gothic (and who doesn't?) then you should play this.
  2. What are your Top 10 RPGs?

In no particular order: 1. World of Xeen 2. Might and Magic VII 3. Gothic 4. Gothic II: NotR 5. Archolos 6. Vampire: the Masquerade - Bloodlines 7. Deus Ex 8. Legend of Grimrock II 9. Fallout 10. Diablo I don't think the inclusion of Archolos is recency bias either; it really is that good.
  3. Indie Call of Saregnar - a Betrayal at Krondor-inspired RPG

Playing the demo now This is fucking great why aren't there more games like this GOD DAMN IT
  4. Gothic Chronicles Of Myrtana: Archolos mod for Gothic 2

Just fucking lost it at a random sidequest in Chapter 5 where This game is amazing, I don't want it to end.
  5. What game are you wasting time on?

Archolos. Starting fights with villagers, getting one-shotted by shadowbeasts, luring skeletons to town so guards can kill them and I can grab their high-level cave loot. God damn it feels good to be playing Gothic again.
  6. Games that spark joy

That's exactly what I do. I like to hike, play rec league sports, lift heavy shit, read books, do crossword puzzles, and watch faggy TV shows with my girlfriend. I also like to play video games, but not to the exclusion of all else. So maybe it's not that my free time has declined, I've just...
  7. Games that spark joy

I just discovered Archolos exists and, as a result, I'm having an absolute blast playing Gothic again, like more fun than I've had playing a game in years. This got me thinking about the fact that: 1. The older I get the less free time I have 2. I still play video games 3. I'd rather use my...
  8. Gothic Chronicles Of Myrtana: Archolos mod for Gothic 2

Started this last night. Playing a new genuine no-shit Gothic in 2022 is just an absolute joy. I can't believe I didn't hear about this sooner, but I'm gonna avoid reading through this thread so I can go in more or less blind. Two things: 1. Just found out there's a potato voice pack you need...
  9. Gothic Chronicles Of Myrtana: Archolos mod for Gothic 2

Holy fucking shit there's an actual honest-to-goodness new Gothic? This is... welcome news.
  10. The Last Of Us 2 - now with protagonist-murdering trannies

I've been around strong women before. Seen impressive feats of strength, girls who can do lots of pull-ups, move impressive weight (for a female), and they have some legit defined musculature. Can even look pretty attractive. But this "girl" is fucking YOKED. I know it's been said a million...
  11. Crispy™ Controversial opinions about RPGs that you know deep down are true.

I want to behead everyone who doesn't like Bloodlines jfc
  12. Incline Disco Elysium - The Final Cut - a hardboiled cop show isometric RPG

fuck my ass it's HERE!!! Sprouting the firmest wood atm
  13. What game are you wasting time on?

I played 4/5 about 1,000,000 times as a kid, and didn't get to 3 until a couple years ago. It's amazing that it came out in 1991, just a brilliant UI that lets you rip through the game any way you want. And if you like it this much, consider yourself in for a treat: 4/5 are very similar (and imo...
  14. What game are you wasting time on?

Might and Magic II: Gates to Another World World of Xeen is my favorite game of all time, so it seems like a cardinal sin that I haven't played this (nor its predecessor) yet. They always seemed a little too inaccessible and old school, but I finally took the plunge. This game is good. Party...
