Just like in NWN1, in NWN2 DLC's are usually much better than OC.
Unlike NWN1, however, you can play through NWN2 OC without dying of boredom.

Maybe you can, I tried plethora of times (to get MotB after OC) and I just couldn't (I finished OC once, but long before I got DLC's)

Just this morning I finished the OC for the first time. I will never do it again. Thank heavens for supercheap gog.com specials or else I would feel robbed as well as raped.

The UI is cancer.
The camera is AIDs.
The first act is pneumonia.
The final few areas are Ebola.
The Crossroads Keep component is a ludicrous gold sink.
The courtroom trial section was ... pretty good fun.

Perfect summary :salute:

Fuck NWN2 right in the ass.

NWN2 OC was a fine tide me over when it came out but I can't imagine playing it over something like POE1 or PFK nowadays.

You can. It's mind-numbingly dull until some way into Neverwinter, after that it picks up and the mid to late game are actually rather good, until the endgame which has to be some kind of retardation record.

3. Is Mysteries of Westgate worth playing ?

Yeah, it's pretty good. Nice urban setting, plenty of entertaining optional quests, the three companions are interesting and there's no filler combat. It also has some replayability (there are two factions you can ally yourself to, and also two very different endings).

Weirdly enough, I got bored very quickly with Darkness over Daggerford, also by Ossian Studios.

Strap Yourselves In Serpent in the Staglands Shadorwun: Hong Kong Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag. Pathfinder: Wrath I'm very into cock and ball torture I helped put crap in Monomyth
Can anyone recommend a HD mod or something that will make the game look better ? No big deal if nothing decent is there. The stuff I have seen on NexusMods is, uh, dubious
Not really. You're far better if looking at the Vault than Nexus, I daresay.
I am playing the game in normal and I am starting to regret it. Except in a few super rare instances, the game is extremely easy, as this game mode turns off friendly fire. My wizards can spam the entire battle area with area effects spells like fireballs while a few melee fighters keep the enemies busy. I am late in the OC and refuse to switch. However, since my version came with MOTB and Storms of Zehir, how difficult are those two ? Should I switch to Hardcore then or were these games more designed with the Normal difficulty in mind making it more of a challenge then
You can change difficulty for MoTB and Soz so you might as well. MoTB's challenge lies not entirely in the fights themselves, mind.

NWN2 OC is nowhere as bad as the NWN1 OC but it's not good either. As an alternative in the same vein I'd suggest Drakensang 2 River of Time as a lot more fun. MOTB is also written well enough that won't feel like you're missing a lot of background info by not having played the previous part so you don't need to put yourself through it (unlike POE2 and the godawful POE1).
